Teddy

Carl Grimes, son of Rick Grimes and lover of you, was out on a run with his father. The father and son duo walk in a comfortable silence, their guns drawn and ready to aim at anything that could cause harm. They were in a new town about an hour away from Alexandria so the two were more cautious than usual.

"Is there a list?" Carl asks his father gently

"Just anything we can find, I guess" Rick shrugs slightly as his eyes dart around tentatively. They go into what looked like a grocery store, the town was small so the store looked more like a convenience store then anything. The windows were boarded up and the door was hanging off of the hinges. Rick goes in first while Carl watches outside, the father gives his son the clear and Carl rushs inside.

"Time to look around" Carl mumbles to himself. He knew you have been having a bad time lately and have been in a funk. Carl was hoping to find something to make you smile, Rick knew of this and focused more on gathering supplies while his son found something did you. The two split up in the small store and quickly scan around the building, they find some cans and a gallon of water before moving back outside. They can feel the wind against their skin as they go to the next building, it looked like it was in ruins so onto the next they went. It was a small home. Maybe 2 bedroom, one bath and it was one floor. They went inside quietly and checked each room to make sure no walkers or people were in it before beginning their search of the home. Rick handles the living room, kitchen, and dining room while Carl looks through the bedrooms and bathroom plus any closets. He starts with the closets finding a fluffy blanket for you, it was still nice and folded up. The blanket itself was black and looked to be a good size to cuddle in. He goes into the bathroom next and finds some pain meds as well as old mouthwash

"Ew" he whispers and puts that away before ending his search of the bathroom. He goes into the first bedroom, it was the parents room, their room was a mess,

"And I thought I was messy" he whispers again and looks around finding nothing but a pretty necklace, as he looks closer at it he can see that some of the metal is broken

"Hm" he puts it into his pocket for now then goes it into the final bedroom. The children's room. Inside was a large but broken bunk bed, the different sheets on the bed showing it was a boy and a girl. He goes through the closet first finding nothing but a bunch of old toys. He spots in the rubble of the bed was some fluff. He goes over and moves a piece of wood seeing a dusty teddy bear. Carl always called you his teddy bear from how you cling to him at night so he thought this was perfect.

"Just some cleaning and this will be perfect" he thinks to himself and finishes up in the room before going back out. He sees Rick finishing up as well.

"Find anything interesting?" Rick asks his son

"A blanket and a teddy bear as well as some pain meds. You?" Rick nods knowing who the blanket and teddy bear were for and speaks,

"I found a few bottles of water, some batteries and bandages. This place is clean"

"Should we continue into the next houses?"

"No, it's gonna get dark soon. We should head back" Carl nods at his father and they begin their trek back to Alexandria. They get back to the large gates as nightfall hits, they're let inside and separate after Carl hands Rick the items he found beside the blanket and teddy bear. He goes to the lake and quickly washed the teddy bear and shakes it quickly to try and dry it off. He starts to shake it aggressively to quicken up the drying process. The bear is about 90% dry by the time his arms get tired from aggressively flailing the bear around. He stands and goes to his house where he knows you're waiting, you can't sleep without him so he rushed home knowing you like to sleep early.

  Carl through the house and up to his room where he sees you, dressed in one of his flannels and curled around his pillow with your eyes closed. He knew you weren't asleep, a small smile forms on his thin lips. He slowly walks over to you and sets the blanket and teddy bear down. He unfolds the blanket and lays it over you, your eyes open from the sudden feeling.

  "Carl?" You whisper softly as your eyes adjust in the dark

  "It's me Bear" he comes more into view and smiles making you smile slightly. He grabs the teddy bear and show you it

  "Look at what I found for you, a Teddy bear for my Teddybear." He wiggles it a bit and puts it close to you. You smile brightly at the sight

  "Thank you" you were never able to save your childhood bear so this meant a lot to you.

  "Your welcome bear now let me into the cuddle zone" he says playfully and you open the blanket for him to snuggle into. He takes off his shoes and pants then takes off his flannel and shirt, so he's only wearing his boxer shorts. He gets all cozy under the blanket and hugs you close to his chest and holds the teddy up. He makes the teddy dance a bit to make you smile. He smiles at the lovely sight of the corners of your lips turn up in a sleepy smile. He can see you yawn so he hugs you and the teddy closer as you fall asleep in his arms.

Maggie Rhee moves her head a bit and sees Aphrodite with a small blush on her face with the majority of her face stuffed into the soft fabric of the flannel,

"You should eat sweetie" Aphrodite perks up from the mention of food and she slowly brings her head up and turns it to Maggie, making the adults in the room laugh softly,

"Food?" Maggie nods with a smile and points to the bowl of pasta that was slowly growing cold. Dite reaches and winces a bit, she grabs the bowl and curls up with it and pauses

"Have you guys eaten?"

"Glenn has, I was feeding him, I haven't yet and I have no clue about Rick" Dite looks at Rick and holds out her bowl to her future father-in-law. Rick holds up his hand

"I'll eat when I get back to my house" Dite nods and pulls the bowl into her chest and starts to eat, she takes a bite and smiles a bit enjoying the familiar taste of pasta. She eats happily whole the adults talk and finishes quickly. She stands, letting Glenn shake out his arm that fell asleep a while ago, and goes into the kitchen after picking up Glenn's empty bowl as well. She waddles into the kitchen due to the sore feeling in her southern regions, making the group smile at her, and she washes the used dishes. She lets them dry next to the sink and goes back to the group. She sits beside Glenn and goes back to the cuddle sesh and begins to think, her thoughts are filled with Carl. What does he look like, what does he like, what does he do in his free time. She decides to ask when the group stops talking. The second there's a silence Aphrodite ends it,

"What is he like?" Rick looks at her and smiles,

"Carl is brave, strong, intelligent. He loves comic books" he pauses to think and notices that Dite looks confused,

"What are comic books?"

"Oh he'll teach you, don't worry" Rick continues

"Carl is... He is a leader, he loves strongly and cares to much for his own good." Dite nods and smiles at the thought of being loved,

"I can tell he will love you. You two are similar yet different. But he used to talk my ear off about what you would be like and what you would look like. He once told me he had a dream about you" Dite looks surprised, she's dreamed of him as well,

"He described to me what you looked like. He said she would have black hair and the prettiest grey blue eyes. He described you Aphrodite, Carl described you in perfect detail. Of course he was 12 at the time but he loved you from the second he knew that he had a soulmate." Dite starts to stroke her mark, sending Carl pleasure filled shivers. She keeps doing it as Rick continues,

"He would come running to me every time you would do that, he always looked so excited about it. I still see him smile then rub his mark Everytime you do it. If you don't do it for a while he gets antsy and angry. Then when you do he calms down immediately. We call you his soft spot" Dite looks down at her mark,

"Also" hearing Rick's voice suddenly become serious making her head go back up.

"He lost an eye similar to you." Aphrodite nods

"That's fine, at least I won't get judged by him now, also" she pauses,

"Can you tell him about me soon?"

"I'll tell him when I get back" Rick promises the girl which she nods at.

"Speaking of, I should get back now. It's almost dark" the trio look outside to see the sun setting. Aphrodite moves her head to try and see the sunset, it was her favorite to watch. Rick stands with a small groan and straightens up,

"I'll come back tomorrow around noon, Carl may be with me, he may not be. But until then, rest up" Rick nods at everyone and leaves closing the door behind him.

Aphrodite Hart was brought up to her new bedroom, it was right next to Glenn and Maggie's, and was so homey. All the furniture was white, Glenn helps her sit and she flops back to be laying on the bed. She hasn't been on a bed in so long, since she mostly sleeping in trees. Maggie and Glenn laugh softly at the sight,

"We're off to bed, we'll see you in the morning Bear. If you need anything please let us know" Dite nods at the two and sits up watching the couple leave. She sighs happily and looks at her bed seeing her teddy bear. It was cleaner then before, she reached out and picked it up. She hugs it for a moment before slipping under the covers deciding to grab her bag and change tomorrow. She slips under the covers and curls up, even though she slept for a while she's still tired. She grips her teddy tightly and falls asleep slowly with the thoughts of Carl, she imagines him as taller then her with chocolate brown hair and beautiful blue eyes.

Carl Grimes laid in his bed wide awake, it was always hard for him to fall asleep, he sighed heavily and moves his head to look out the window. The stars began to show with the moon raised high into the sky. He thought back to his conversation with his father earlier. Michonne called him down for dinner, simple pasta, and the two were sat at the table eating silently. Carl had his sheriff's hat off and it was safe in his room, the silence comes to an end once the main door opens. It was Rick he greets everyone and ruffles Carl's hair slightly. He gets himself a bowl and smiles into the bowl earning confused looks from the two.

"What is that look for? Did you fall in love with the pasta?" Rick laughs softly

"Nope, just a thought"

"What was the thought?" Michonne asks her lover,

"Carl I have something to tell you" Rick sits at the front of the table to look at his family. Carl looks at him with his single eye a bit confused,

"We found her"

"Her?" Michonne looks at Carl happily and stays quiet as the boy questions his father. Rick points to Carl's wrist making his eye widen.

"Her?"

"Her name is Aphrodite Hart. She is Glenn's niece and exactly how you described her when you were 12, that's also where your flannel went" Carl starts to smile a lot, a smile Rick hasn't seen in a while and one Michonne has never seen.

"How did you find her?"

"I was on my run with Daryl, I heard humming then it all stopped. I went to find the noise and found her passed out against a tree and injured. What happened to her, she'll tell you on her own time, but just be careful with her." Carl nods

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I wanted her to have some time with Glenn first and to get situated in her new home." Carl nods and leans back in his seat with a smile

"When can I meet her?"

"I'm going over there again tomorrow, then if you'd like. I already warned them that you may be with me" Carl stands quickly, his half finished food forgotten. He begins to ramble,

"When are we leaving? I have to shower. What about my eye?" He continues to ramble until Rick stops him,

"We're leaving around noon. She won't care about your eye, and you will see once we get there. Just relax tonight and tomorrow you can freak out" Carl nods and slowly sits back down as silence overcomes everyone once more.

Aphrodite Hart was a girl known for her style. Before the world ended, she was always in dresses and bows since her parents taught her to always look put together. In this world, soulmates are a thing, only a few a year that are born get one. Aphrodite was one that was blessed to have one, she's been searching for them since she found out. But the search was put to a halt when the world ended.

Aphrodite Hart tries to keep the things she grew up with, but stopped that mentality when her parents were bitten and she had to kill them. With no siblings or friends by her side she had to take on the world by herself.

Aphrodite walked around, blood soaked and rusty knife in hand, and her favorite dress on caked in blood. The dress was to small seeing as she's grown, it's been a few years since the end so she's grown from 12 to 16. Her chest presses against the fabric tightly so tight she can barely breath, she looks around in the city she's wondered into and found a store free of walkers. She goes inside and sees no one, she holds her breath while walking around. What she doesn't notice is the person in the corner, a young man who looked at Aphrodite with hunger.

Hunger that could only be fed sexually, the man stood and slowly went to the oblivious girl. She looks around the small building and sees clothing, she goes over and picks up another dress. She shoves it into her large black bag and keeps walking around, not knowing of the strange man. She steps on glass, which hurt her bare feet, and she takes a step back to look at what she stepped on. The display case nearby was shattered and glass was strown everywhere, she looks at the bottom of her foot and sees a cut, she ignores it for the time being and straightens up.

As soon as she straightens up, she's taken to the ground and flipped onto her back. She lets out a scream, a scream that almost deafens the man on top of her. He looked crazy, bloodshot eyes and dark eye bags. He has some cuts on his face and his arm was bloody, he had been bit...

"Please no..."

"Please yes" he moves her hair out of her face and sees that she's missing an eye, no bandage, just an empty cavity. Almost like someone dug out her eye... The man ignores it and looks down at her body. The man tried to rip off her dress to have some fun...

After those excruciating 20 minutes, Aphrodite is left on the floor in pain. From the glass in her back, and from in between her legs, where blood stained her skin. She curls up onto herself, feeling disgusted. This isn't the first time an event like that has happened to her but she still felt gross. Her skin crawled, and itched like bugs were all over her body. The girl stares up at the ceiling as tears slowly fall down her cheek. She sniffles once then sits up and tries to cover herself. Dite looks around and sees a cardigan, she gets up quickly, regretting it, and grabs the cardigan. It's very big on her so she hopes it'll provide some comfort and warmth. She hugs herself and finally leaves the building with her knife in hand. She sees her reflection: long black hair with slight waves, a deep blue hue under her almond shaped eyes, some hair pulled back into a white blood stained bow hair clip, her hair was messy and her eyes were puffy.

"Gotta look good for my soulmate, no matter what" she fixes her hair and keeps walking, everything is bare, to bare, it's ominous how quiet everything is. She can hear as wind goes by and the ground beneath her feet. Her, already growing, anxiety spikes as her mind runs and she decides to leave the city. She runs out and goes into the woods, a sanctuary and has been for a while.

Aphrodite has been alone since the beginning, especially after finding out that she's immune to zombie bites. She met a doctor very early on and she explained that all those who have soulmates are immune. Speaking of soulmates, the girl looked down at her wrist, the outline of a sheriff star staring at her. She touches it gently slowing her walk creating a shiver down her spine, a pleasant one, she does this every few days since soulmates can contact each other using the mark they were born with. She does it so her soulmate knows she's alive, after a few minutes of waiting she gets the same shiver again and smiles. She continues her walking as she ventures deeper into the woods. She smiles a bit to herself and looks around, she starts to hum softly, so softly it's just above a whisper to try and not signal to anyone or anything where she is.

But, Aphrodite starts to feel light headed. She pauses her walk for a moment as the world begins to spin, her head gets heavy and her eyes feel weird. Her body feels cold as she leans and her eyes roll back as she slams against a tree. Her side stays against the tree as her head goes forward, the bark keeping her up as she passes out from blood loss.
