In the Grimms’ version of Cinderella instead of a fairy godmother it’s her dead mother’s ghost that gives her supernatural aid. I think they took a page from those versions of Cinderella were it’s the ghost of a family member.

I personally see Newspaper Club Member as being another fairy godmother figure to Sumire too. She’s very protective of her and there being implications that Sumire admires her too. Given that the glasses she wants to give her father are red just like Newspaper Club Member’s.

Fuck it, just gonna say it:

Ryuji can be the biggest ray of sunshine but still have moments of being dickish

Sumi can be as sweet as can be but still have a selfish side

Maruki can be empathetic but still be fucked up

That's what makes them all INTERESTING!!!

I'm just saying these characters' best qualities and flaws can coexist! That makes them feel more human!

It's all in the nuance and fun (sure there are writing issues but still). I used those two bits for Ryuji because they were the most ragged on like it's amazing when one realizes how skewed his fanbase can be when one steps back from it I actually liked them because it shows he's not perfect and they make sense to me Also I continue to yearn for deadline ending Mooki because it's such good food!

Oh god reading this is making me appreciate Ella's design more now! Especially when one looks up what white lilies symbolize, which is very prominent in her design (purity/innocence, rebirth/resurrection, hope, often used for sympathy bouquets as well as weddings)!

Her being interpreted as more ghostly as opposed to a bride just feels more fitting! I love it!

Sumire’s Persona is Cendrillon because she was forced to cover herself the ashes of her dead sister’s identity. Her third Teir being Ella means she’s starting to deal with her survival guilt and is finally mourning her sister in a healthier way. Also read her flower crown as funeral lilies for this reason.
