Vow to me. I am thou, thou art I… Thou who art willing to perform all sacrilegious acts for thine own justice!

I am living for these kaleidoscopic eyes!!

since its autism ”““awareness”““ month, reminder that autism speaks, light it up blue & the puzzle piece all suck
- autism speaks doesn’t use its donations to help autistic people, they’re searching for a ‘cure’ or an ‘end’ to autism (which doesn’t exist, and if it did would just be eugenics), and they don’t have a single autistic person on their board. autism speaks is the equivalent to some suburban mom who thinks her life is ruined because her three-year-old doesn’t like eye contact, so she blogs about it on wordpress to get more moms to hate their kids too. - light it up blue sucks bc it’s not only one of the things autism speaks has created / promoted, but it’s also blue because of the common misbelief that autism is a boy’s diagnosis; girls are often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed bc of how symptoms differ with socialization. it is also focused on “awareness” without actually working to deal with the problem. actual autistic people have begun replacing it with light it up RED, and autism ACCEPTANCE month, to try and overpower the more common idea that awareness will find a cure. - and the puzzle piece symbol isn’t good because it’s meant to be a missing piece, or a problem to be solved. autistic people aren’t missing any parts of their brain, nor do they need to be solved. there’s also something childish implied by the puzzle piece, despite autism being a life-long diagnosis and one that some people are not diagnosed with UNTIL adulthood. the symbol that has replaced it, created by actual autistic people, is the infinity symbol. be respectful, be aware, be kind.
