Haru and Makoto like playing solitaire and sudoku on their phones sometimes.
Futaba got them into some other games too
Akechi also likes playing sudoku and crosswords. He is really good at them.
Ryuji taps his fingers on things and taps his feet when he’s listening to music.
Ren also does that.
Ryuji has a workout playlist he listens to when he’s training or running.
He listens to it with earbuds if he’s at the gym on his own. But if he’s at home or with Ren then he won’t use them and will play it out loud on a speaker or something
Ryuji is able to remember really weird things at times.
Like, he'll have a hard time remembering things for exams, but he could remember a random fact from a youtube video or twitter post he saw 4 years ago.
Akechi is really good at trivia.
Ann, Haru, and Makoto go to the gym together once a week to workout and train. They tried inviting Futaba to come a couple of times, but most of the time she declines.

Ryuji wants to get a job to help his mom, but he has a hard time getting jobs because of his appearance/demeanor
Sojiro does genuinely enjoy it when any of Ren’s friends come over to chat. It certainly makes his day less boring since leblanc isn’t exactly bustling with customers all the time (Yusuke is secretly his favourite - excluding futaba)
Ann takes really good pictures because of her experience modelling.

if yes, then i wanna hear your opinions on akechi, the guy, the bro, the man that got his carefully planned years long revenge plot absolutely destroyed with breakfast food. the one and only that embodies my emotions when im experiencing That Time Of The Month.
imo, im so glad that he got fleshed out more in royal. he was like a surprisingly breath of fresh air cause, like, while the thieves are pretty positive and great, i really wanted someone that was like the opposite or something like that. third semester was lowk one of the best additions in the entire game despite uh.. a certain gymnast..
either way, im lowk looking forward to akechi's and entwined hearts!reader's dynamic.. like omg imagine the awkwardness.. happy valentines by the way, hope this isn't too much a bother!
Well, Happy belated Valentine’s Day to you. So, my opinions on Akechi, huh? Well he is an interesting character for Persona 5, similar to Adachi from Persona 4. He balances out well with Joker since they’re meant to be two sides of the same coin. He’s a character with a lot of layers and complexity, an interesting backstory. He brings a lot to the table and his involvement really helps the direction of Persona 5’s plot, including Third Semester. Akechi’s rivalry and opposing characteristics of Joker and the Phantom Thieves are important. Kinda like Arsène and Sherlock Holmes. And of course we get to understand why he is the way he is.
Though despite it all I personally don’t like him. But I do like his character in a story sense. I can get behind his character and all, but I don’t have to be a fan to do so. Despite Akechi’s tragedies and struggles, he is technically a sadistic psychotic murderer who manipulates and uses people to further his agenda no matter what until he stops. Nothing can really excuse that. That’s a choice. I can’t say I was moved by his sacrifice, but I understand it is for his character arc. He did have no problem showing zero hesitancy to kill Joker and shoot him straight in the head. He was pretty much yearning to do that.
I can’t say much about Akechi and Entwined Hearts’ Reader’s interactions will be like. Though you’d probably have a clear guess to what it’ll be like. They’re opposites on opposite sides. The tension and displeasure could cut a Shadow with a single slice. Plus, you can also say it’s similar to another tense/conflicting relationship from.. let’s say, P3? If you know the two characters I’m referring to.

I think some people miss the fact that the Phantom Thieves are playing right into Yaldabaoth's hands when they change people's hearts. They're basically proving that people need someone else to act for them and that people aren't willing to solve their own problems. Just look at how they end up sending their targets back into the depths of Mementos.
Don't get me wrong, the Thieves are doing good by freeing people from Yaldy's control and from their selfish distorted desires (which are just another form of control), but they are also showing that people are unwilling to free themselves from Yaldy's control on their own. When people don't free themselves, they only end up being imprisoned even further by society. That's why all the morally redeemable characters in the game change their own hearts, and that's why the Bad Ending is Akira deciding to keep society just as it is under Yaldy's control, with the Phantom Thieves as heroes who continue to change the hearts of individuals, but society as a whole is kept stagnant for eternity.
This is also why the public's support for the Thieves is so important in the final battle. Without their support, the Thieves couldn't have defeated Yaldy, because the public needed to show that they wanted their hearts changed, that they didn't want to be controlled after all. They all needed to show a will of rebellion against their oppressor or the Phantom Thieves would have just become the same thing Yaldabaoth was doing by removing their free will. Prior to fighting Yaldy the PT don't respect the agency of their targets, and they solve other people's problems without thinking about how that might affect the person they're saving. By defeating Yaldabaoth, they let go of that power and give control back to the individuals of society so they can start to change their own lives again. The public shouldn't and can't rely on Yaldabaoth to solve their problems, and they shouldn't and can't rely on the Phantom Thieves to solve their problems either.
And again, don't get me wrong, Persona 5 says that it is good and even necessary to get help from others, but if you really want to improve your life you need to act for yourself. If society is going to improve people need to take destiny into their own hands. Persona 5 is about finding hope even in the darkest circumstances by forging connections with other people and refusing to let society crush you under its heel. But the key to this all is that you must choose to fight against the cruelties of society, even if it seems impossible. Hope for change can be seen by finding belonging with others and working together to change society for the better. In the words of Morgana:
"Even if you feel that only darkness lies ahead...as long as you hold hands together...see it through as one...the world will never end!"

Like... I've gotten so, so damn TIRED of people bringing it up almost every few days or even every month. It just gradually made me not as passionate about Ryuji over time to the point of finding him overrated and I hate that because I legitimately love the character but god damn... I'm already stressed enough because of working during the holidays, I don't need to hear discourse # 1,000,000,000 about that stupid scene. People really fucking need to move on imo. It's bad, I agree, I get it. Can we just talk about something else instead of beating a dead horse?
Before anyone asks, I didn't find it at all funny but the 1st half wasn't exactly bad and I can understand why they got mad at him. I actually thought he was kind of a dick for saying that Ann doesn't look cute when she cries because I remember being made fun of for being emotional/crying to the point where I developed a habit of bottling it up for years, so I fully understood Ann's response. What he said just really pushed my buttons so much regardless of intent. It didn't help that instead of maybe apologizing or a simple, "Crap, bad timing! My bad guys!" he just doubles down and tries to make excuses which made them madder.
Oh and people LOVE to CONVENIENTLY leave that part out because Ryuji would never! They got mad for no reason! Bull! Shit!
That aside it really just should have ended with a hug instead of a beating really since that was still very disproportionate and unnecessary. Or the anime's version of it at least. Or hell if they want to make it comedic, have a chase start as it fades to black with dialogue showcasing them going from mad to just laughing and starting to cheer up, Ryuji included. Easy! Just pretend those ideas happened! Or again the anime since we can pretend that it's an anime cutscene. There! Problem solved; can we talk about something else? Please!

So, you know those playing cards the Phantom Thieves use in the Thieve's Den to play Tycoon?
What if they were real? As in, what if, after forging enough Skill Cards, Yusuke wants to do something with this newfound love of card making, and so he decides to design his own deck of playing cards themed around the Metaverse and the Thieves.
Imagine, during the Hotpot Night, Ann introduces the group to this version of Poor Man, Rich Man she thought of, inspired by their thieving activities, where you can cause a revolution, and the poorest player becomes the richest. And so, during long meetings, some of them just play Tycoon together. One day, Yusuke brings around four sets of cards and gifts them to the others.
Ann is thrilled at having some stylish Phantom Thief cards and immediately lays them out so she can see the designs.
Ryuji tries to hide his happiness at having Phantom Thief Cards by machoing it up, but he fails because it's just so effin cool man!
Ren immediately puts his deck on his shelf and displays it.
Then, once Makoto joins, she gets her own deck as well, as a thank you for helping them, and as a way to show that Yusuke wants her on the team, and there are no hard feelings. And Makoto of course doesn't use them often, but she keeps them on her just in case.
Futaba gets gifted them as she's training to go outside, with Yusuke telling her that she can use them to play with new people she meets. Of course, she loves having something that's basically a collector's item.
Then, both Haru and Morgana receive their own decks once the kerfuffle is over. Morgana is a little to prideful to show how much this truly means to him, but he relishes in using them in the metaverse where he has hands to do so. And Haru doesn't let anyone else touch them, as they are her cards and a gift from a friend. Not an expensive rich heir gift from a suitor, but a small gift meant to symbolize their bond together.
Do we still tag Third Semestar stuff? Cuz if so, Third Semestar stuff.
Yoshizawa gets hers a few days after her reawakening, and she uses them as a reminder that the Thieves will always have her back. Not because she's Kasumi Yoshizawa's sister, but because she is Sumire Yoshizawa, and that's enough. However, sometimes, it isn't enough. Sometimes the Imposter Syndrome wins, and on those days, she can't help but want to burn the cards to cinders, because obviously they can't actually be for Sumire Yoshizawa. Clearly, they were made for Kasumi, and she just got them because she's just the next best thing. Just Kasumi's shadow. Sometimes she can't bring herself to even look at the cards, because they show her how much the Thieves truly care for her. It's too painful to think that the people she likes truly like her. Yet, on some other bad days, just looking at the cards is enough for her to realize that she truly can be Sumire Yoshizawa, and that's just enough to keep her from spiraling that day. Sometimes, it's the only thing that can help.
Akechi doesn't get his until the Third Semester. In truth, Yusuke made his set a long time ago, back in November, hoping that he could gift them if it all turned out to be some elaborate miscommunication or some big mistake. Of course, it wasn't, and the deck sat uselessly in Yusuke's room, never forgotten, but in the background. That is, until Akachi shows back up miraculously, and agrees to work with the Thieves until Maruki is dealt with. Once Akechi returns, Yusuke gives him the pack, telling him that every Phantom Thief has one, and they are the only ones in the world to have them. Of course, Akechi scoffs and tells him that they're all over-sentimental, but deep down, he can't help but smile because he's finally a part of something. People want him. People like to include him. All the while, another part of him is reminding him that this won't last. He isn't truly alive, just a ghost walking. These cards mean nothing because they're a gift to a dead man. And yet, he carries this deck with him into the Palace on February 3rd.
