“Well, I don’t believe that you’re actually dating each other,” one of the women that had just been hanging off of Buck huffed, crossing her arms. “You should prove it.”

He arched an eyebrow. “And how do you expect us to prove it?”

The question was asked idly even as he stared at her with disdain. He was sure her answer would be something that you would find in one of those trashy romance novels that Buck sometimes read. Eddie would never admit to liking one, however, even if he knew that Buck was well aware that he stole them off of his bookshelf.

And he was proven right when her response was, “You should kiss him. I think that would prove it.”

His expression only got more unimpressed. He had no interest in voyeurs. “And why should I let you see what he looks like when I get my mouth on him?”

She spluttered as he turned a smile on his best friend to see him slowly turning red. Well, that was adorable. He might have to use more innuendos if it got Buck turning colors. That did not happen frequently since he was open about his sex life.

'It's no use, what's the point? Everyone always dies,' you say as you look up, no hope in your eyes. There's blood on your knuckles and tears on your face, and deep in your soul, an unmendable ache. My love, let me sit with you here on the floor. Don't get up; rest your head, let your body restore. I know pain is a constant, your partner unseen, and you think you're too much, but you're not – not to me. Whether covered in bruises or unblemished skin, my feelings won't change; I'm always all in. And no matter the hopelessness dragging you down I swear on my life I will always be 'round. So open your fist and let go of the gun, allow me to lead you back into the sun.
