The next few days passed in a blur, filled with excitement and anticipation. You and Hyunjin texted non-stop, your conversations becoming more frequent and intimate. You shared stories, jokes, and even mundane details about your days. It felt like you were getting to know him on a deeper level, and each text made you smile wider.

Finally, payday arrived. You had been eagerly waiting for this moment, saving every penny to afford the upcoming Stray Kids concert. The moment you saw the notification that your salary had been deposited, you rushed to the ticketing website. Your heart raced as you entered your payment details, and a wave of relief washed over you when the confirmation email popped up on your screen. You had your ticket.

You couldn’t wait to tell Hyunjin the news. Grinning, you quickly typed out a message:

-Guess who got paid! Just bought a ticket for the upcoming concert. But tell your company to chill with these prices, it’s like they don’t want us poor people to be happy 😞😞

His reply came almost instantly.

-YOU BOUGHT TICKETS??? You could’ve easily got them for free. FROM ME😡😡

You chuckled at his dramatic reaction and responded just as quickly,

-No, I don’t want to abuse my powers of being close to you. That’s called ‘Using people’ and I don’t do that 😤

Hyunjin was persistent, as always.

-YOU WOULDN'T BE USING ME BECAUSE I’M THE ONE THAT WANTS TO GIVE IT TO YOU. Whatever, at least I’ll get to see your pretty face at the concert. ANSWER MY CALL!!

A video call notification popped up on your screen. With a flutter of excitement, you answered. Hyunjin’s face appeared, his expression warm and happy.

“Hey!” he greeted, his voice soft and full of affection. “I can’t believe you bought the ticket. You’re really something else, you know that?”

You laughed. “Well, I couldn’t miss the chance to see you guys perform live. Plus, I wanted to surprise you.”

The conversation flowed effortlessly. You talked about the concert, your excitement evident in every word. You discussed potential outfits, each trying to outdo the other with creative ideas. The hours flew by, and before you knew it, night had fallen.

Both of you had your phones plugged in, and you continued talking until your eyes grew heavy. The sound of Hyunjin’s voice was comforting, and you found yourself slowly drifting off to sleep. Your phones were propped up on your dressers, ensuring that if either of you woke up earlier than the other, you could see each other sleeping.

Morning came with a jolt. You woke to the sound of chaos from Hyunjin’s end. Han, Seungmin, and Felix had burst into his room, determined to wake him up in the most obnoxious way possible. Han was jumping on the bed, Felix was making bizarre noises with his mouth, and Seungmin was hitting Hyunjin’s face with a pillow.

You watched the scene unfold, unable to contain your laughter. You quickly screen recorded the hilarious wake-up call, wanting to keep the memory forever. Your amusement, however, was cut short when Han grabbed Hyunjin’s phone.

“Guys, look!” Han called out, waving the phone around.

Felix and Seungmin crowded around, their eyes widening when they saw you on the screen. Realizing what was happening, you quickly hung up, your heart racing.

Hyunjin, still half-asleep, groaned. “What the hell are Seungmin and Felix doing here? This isn’t their dorm.”

Seungmin and Felix ignored his question, their attention fixed on him. “Who was the girl on the phone?” Seungmin demanded, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Han, always the instigator, cheekily added, “Yeah, Hyunjin. Who’s the girl? You’ve brought her to the dorm before, right? And didn’t Chan say she’s the girl from the coffee shop you keep going to?”

Hyunjin rubbed his eyes, trying to wake up fully. “Yeah, that’s her,” he admitted, his voice groggy but affectionate. “We’ve been talking a lot lately.”

Felix grinned. “Talking, huh? Is that all?”

Hyunjin rolled his eyes but smiled. “Yes, talking. And maybe a bit more. But seriously, leave her alone, okay? She’s special to me.”

The trio continued to tease him throughout the day, following him around and bombarding him with questions. Despite the relentless ribbing, Hyunjin’s thoughts remained on you and the upcoming concert. He couldn’t wait to see you there, amidst the energy and excitement of the crowd.

As night fell, the boys finally relented. Hyunjin retreated to his room, exhausted but happy. He picked up his phone and sent you a quick text: “Can’t wait to see you at the concert. It’s going to be amazing.”

Your reply came moments later: “I can’t wait either. It’s going to be unforgettable.”

Hyunjin smiled to himself, feeling a warmth spread through his chest. The concert was just around the corner, and with you there, it was sure to be an experience he would cherish forever.

Seungmin who hides his face when you tell your friends how amazing he is and that he’s the best boyfriend ever.

Seungmin who secretly cries in the middle of the night when you told him that you feel like your not good enough, he hated himself for making you feel like that.

Seungmin who takes you out on a date, taking you to the park at night, drops down on his knees and pulls out a ring.

Seungmin who says “Will you marry me?”, and you say yes.

Seungmin who stands up and hugs you, saying “From now on i’ll try to be more affectionate to you”. He kisses the top of your head, he is no longer afraid.

- My story on how I got into K-pop is long, but let me cut it short for you! ↓↓

: 2019 - Randomly found an ATEEZHello82 interview during their ‘Wonderland’ promotions, became obsessed with the song, and added it to my playlist. Couple days later, I found a Kard Interview from their ‘Bomb Bomb’ promotions from a couple months earlier, became obsessed with the song, and also added it to my playlist. Couple days later, found ‘Boy With Luv’ by BTS, and while I didn’t like the song much, I enjoyed the video and was interested, leading me to look into them. BTS was the first group I stanned.

: 2020 - Introduced my older cousin to BTS and she became obsessed, obsessed to the point where she claimed biases and told me i couldn’t favorite the same songs as her or even bias the same members, this put me off and I slowly drifted from them.

: 2021 - Forgot that the BTS songs, ‘Wonderland’ and ‘Bomb Bomb’ were Kpop and I listened to them as if it was the like the rest of the music in my playlist, (except it wasn’t, i used to not separate my playlists so it was a jumbled mess of 80’s, Childish Gambino, Nu-Metal, Skindred, SOAD, Rock, Arctic Monkeys (literally their whole discography) and Måneskin. (so many more artists but im too lazy, basically, i listen to everything)

: 2022 : Early 2022 - Removed the Kpop songs from my playlist, leading me to forget about them. Late 2022 (Around October) - Asked my best friend who was very much into Kpop to recommend me some music, and I looked into it.

: 2023 (April) - Had a bunch of Kpop songs in a separate playlist, and came across a Kpop in public video, the song in it was ‘Maniac’ by SKZ which I then became obsessed with, that song led me to ‘Case 143’ which i listened to for months, and it intriguedme to the point where I thought “I HAVE to stan this group” and I looked into a guide. Then, 2023 (May) I fully considered myself both a Stay and a Kpop stan.

Later in the month: Started stanning other groups.
