I Just Read The Convo Between Zoe And Ben In Spy School Goes South, AndZoe Has A Point. She Didnt Need
I just read the convo between Zoe and Ben in spy school goes south, and…Zoe has a point. She didn’t need to be rude towards Erica, but Zoe has a point.
All in all, Ben needs to go with either Mike or Murray and Zoe and Erica need their own separate healing journeys.
Yeah… As harsh as Zoe was, on both Ben and Erica, you are right, she did have a point there.
They all have stuff to figure out.
Ben, with what he wants out of a relationship, and Zoe and Erica with how they treat themselves
For now, yeah, I think it’s best if they all stop trying to make it work romantically.
Clearly, Ben isn’t a good fit for either of them, and vice versa
I’m convinced that what Zoe is doing with Ben is the same thing Murray did with Zoe
(Headcanon territory under the cut, beware)
They’re both trying to convince themselves that they like someone else of the opposite gender to prevent any complicated feelings about their sexual identity. (so, classic comphet)
Both of their crushes feel so forced and stilted, so much so that I don’t believe it’s an actual crush
Hence why I ship Murray with Ben mainly
That way, Murray gets some character development
He is forced to confront and move on from his wrongdoings to Ben, and he finally learns what he wants out of life
Erica and Zoe get a chance to work on themselves, without having the complications of a romantic relationship
And Ben finally gets the partner that he deserves

What kind of oneshot should I write? :)
I’m open to any ideas!
It can be Geronimo x Kornelius, or it could be something without any romance!
Geronimo Summer Headcanons
-He has very sensitive skin, so he needs to use a special sunscreen with a high SPF
-He’s the kind of guy to read a book at the beach
-He’s that one parent who always makes sure everyone applies sunscreen
-Knows how to, but can’t swim very well
-Despises the bugs.
-Still wears his goddamn suit to work in 90 degree heat
Why do you not like Berica after book 4? that's when it started getting interesting for me instead of a throwaway "yes the main character must be having compulsory heterosexuality"
Well, that statement had more to do with the newer books
It might be because I’m not a big fan of will-they-won’t-they kind of relationships. Which is what I perceived their relationship to be like in the later books.
It’s also mostly because of the love triangle. It over complicated everything, and just made Ben and Erica less engaging, with the addition of Zoe’s character assassination.
I liked it better in the first few books because of how Erica was characterized. She seemed to have a cold exterior, but really she’s a nice person, albeit a little awkward. She just needed someone to connect to, someone to look past the exterior.
But later in the books, she gets colder, more forbidding. Even as Ben got better as a spy, she still treated him like a newbie. I do think that is starting to change, however.
Sorry, this was really long
I hope this provided an explanation!
TL;DR: I started disliking Berica in the later books because of their inherent dynamic, the love triangle, and how Erica’s character was handled later in the series
*Geronimo is doing work*
Kornelius: Geronimo. Cheesecake.
Geronimo, blushing: Uh-
Kornelius: *chuckling* On your face…
Geronimo: Oh…
Kornelius: Oh goodness, it’s going to stick, isn’t it?
Geronimo: The cheesecake?
Kornelius: The name!
