After Tanjiro told Inosuke he also lived in the mountains growing up, Inosuke took that to mean that Tanjiro was exactly like him and therefore lets him in on his inside jokes but offers no explanation as to what they mean. Tanjiro never has a damn clue what he’s getting at but he chooses to stay quiet about it because he likes the way Inosuke lets down his guard around him and how he smiles and laughs more because of it. It is. Hilarious to me that we’re told the demon slayer uniform is made of special fabric so that low-level demons’ claws and teeth can’t tear it, but Tanjiro ended up getting stabbed by the train conductor’s tiny ass knife anyway. It’ll repel demons but you better beware switchblades
