Anonymous Said:I Know Youve Shown How You Draw Faces From Different Angles Very Briefly Before, But I

Anonymous said: I know you’ve shown how you draw faces from different angles very briefly before, but I was wondering if you’d ever go more in depth? For example, I always struggle with drawing the eyes at a ¾ angle… 😔
Ok, I get this question so many times that I decided to do something about it. I’ve already made a tutorial about drawing eyes and tbh it should help with drawing eyes from any angle, the tricky part is to understand the human face, its anatomy. If you see the face/head as a three dimentional object you’ll be able to draw it, I can’t say it enough, 3D thinking is important. Also, references are important, drawing from life is important because then you have a 3D model of the head right in a front of you. All you need to do is observe and understand.

Please i need help drawing people kissing i'm desperate
Haha I like how you think I can draw kissing :P
I looked up reference and re-drew them with some guidelines:

hey can you do one of your awesome tutorial thingys about movement?? i know it's a broad topic but whenever i try to draw people they always look so stiff !
Wooo yeah that is a broad topic. I didn’t answer this immediately because I was trying to figure out how best to answer it.
The most important element of capturing movement in your poses is drawing good silhouettes. Your figure’s movement but be communicated effectively, and the best way to see it is to black out the shape - if you can tell what the figure/pose is doing with no interior linework, then the pose works. If there are arms and stuff overlapping the main body, the movement is not effective. Here’s a good article on silhouettes in character design - one that my animation lecturer showed us: http://characterdesignnotes.blogspot.ca/2011/03/use-of-silhouettes-in-concept-design.html
You also want to exaggerate and PUSH your pose. When in doubt, BLACK IT OUT and see if your silhouette reads okay. If it doesn’t still, add some negative space somewhere and exaggerate it even more.

Do you have any tips for working on different body types? I try to use references but I still don't get it??
Great that you’re trying to use references!! Body types can be reduced down to basic shapes - just like everything else. Don’t focus on details before you get the basic shapes and structure down!

can you please do a quick tutorial similar to the head proportions one but on body? i always try to look at references but it's hard to always be right:) thank you so much for being so nice and helpful❤️
I pretty much just regurgitated what I’ve been learning in life drawing haha so thanks for helping me study!

I hope that is understandable!
Hey! Can you help with drawing glasses? They're always off
Have you tried keeping them ON?
Haha sorry I couldn’t resist.
But seriously here is my attempt:

Get the head first. Draw a box for the general shape of the glasses that follows the curve of the eyes and head. You can change the shape and style of the glasses after, as those are just details ^_^
