Sorry This Ones A Little Long.

Sorry this one’s a little long.
I got a good response on my last tutorial, and I want to thank all of you for that. I revived a handful of questions and requests on other subjects too, so, a least for a while, I’m going to post a new tutorial (or tutorial type thing) once or twice a month. If you left a question or request you’re on my list and I promise I’ll get to you, just be patient (these things are kind of involved to make). Also, if anyone else has a request, please feel free to comment and let me know!
Thanks again!!

hey, I've seen someone ask you for help in drawing legs so can you maybe do the same thing with hands? I suck at drawing fingers af xxthms
I’ve answered a few asks about hands already, which you can find under my hands tag ^_^
These tutorials are fun to do and I’m actually learning a lot while I do them, so here!

AS ALWAYS PLEASE USE LOTS OF REFERENCE. I used reference for all of these - otherwise they WOULD NOT BE accurate. Good luck!

Anonymous said: I know you’ve shown how you draw faces from different angles very briefly before, but I was wondering if you’d ever go more in depth? For example, I always struggle with drawing the eyes at a ¾ angle… 😔
Ok, I get this question so many times that I decided to do something about it. I’ve already made a tutorial about drawing eyes and tbh it should help with drawing eyes from any angle, the tricky part is to understand the human face, its anatomy. If you see the face/head as a three dimentional object you’ll be able to draw it, I can’t say it enough, 3D thinking is important. Also, references are important, drawing from life is important because then you have a 3D model of the head right in a front of you. All you need to do is observe and understand.
I'm on mobile and it's so hard to navigate, sorry if you've already answered this. Have you answered any questions about how you do profiles. It's like the hardest thing for me to draw and I wanted some advice.
I actually haven’t answered this before!
My life drawing prof just taught us how to properly draw the head. Here’s quick lil tutorial!

You can change the proportions by changing the volume of the circles/ellipses ^_^
Can you do a character design tutorial? I know what character I want but when it comes to drawing them, I get stuck
Look, I'm probably the last person that should teach people character design, taking into consideration that there are people who really know what they're doing out there.
My advice is, study character designers' work. This is an amazing resource: https://characterdesignreferences.com/ This is where you can find works of the real artists.
I'll show you how I create my own characters and what I pay attention to, but keep in mind I do this for fun. I'm not a professional and not very good at all this. When I draw my characters they sometimes change appearances. A lot of things is very intuitive and I just draw until I see my character. So yeah xD Take it with a grain of salt.

This is what I try to repeat in every drawing of the character. Mostly eyes and noses but also face shapes. I try to keep proportions the same. Hairstyles are not that important but they can also be characteristic.

Try to play with shapes, see what adds to the personality of the character. Think why your character might look like this and not differently. Does their world influence their hairstyle or make-up etc.

Good luck with designing your characters! You can do this! :)

for the anon that wanted more head angles. It’s not explained well, I apologize for that but maybe this will help a little bit.
