Nexomon's is so much wilder when you stop for more than two seconds. Usually monster tamers keep things, well, tame, despite depicting a world full of magical creatures but nexomon just? Kept adding stuff?

Of course there are the afformentioned humans and monsters but these fuckers come in so many flavors. There are the normal everyday people, the sorcerer's/arcanists born on an RNG basis (Hilda, Khan and Eliza) then there are normal ghosts of dead people but also wisps of not-quite-dead people who got cursed a millenia before NE (a condition that's apparently infectious iirc?). Not to mention human AI that can acquire so much spite that it can fucking materialize in the real world (Malk, babygirl, where are you?)

On the other end, you have the regual nexomon, the "new age" tyrants born from anorthodox means, the primordial tyrants born from Omnicron, who himself was such an utter asshole that he got outright yeeted from his home dimension (the Vortex according to the n1 dlc) because earth sure as hell isn't it

And there exist sentient cat and dog people two? Which is? So funny and baffling at the same time? Since earth was most likely normal before the apocalypse dog descended upon it, are we to assume that dogs and cats, the close domesticated pets where kept safe while all the other animals where massacred by the magical funky creatures from the nether? Did these surving cats and dogs really just manage to achieve human like sapiens in less than half a thousand years, probably accelarated by whatever radiation omnicron brought from being thrusted through the fabric of another reality? Is that the takeaway???

On the subject of dimensions, hell also happens to be one, ain't that great? And it ,too, has classes of it's own! Between the souls of the dead (which include nexomon that we can catch and bring back to the living world, fuck it), the wardens, guardians that hold exceedingly dangerous prisoners in a constant wonderland state in the form of nightmares to keep them from escaping and mystics who appear to affect time or at least time relevant to a living creature's body (Miriam reverts your party into a "younger"/pre-leveled stage so it can pass the sensors) who are unfortunately not mentioned in extinction

And all this shit happens in the background. And people? Never question it,as far as I've seen? The games don't really elabore either but whatever. Like, we all just collectively went "yeah, thay checks out" and proceeded which is so endlessly amusing to me lmao
