Best type of character causes at least 50% of their own problems and then cries about it

I know I already made a post about this. But ICWA is LITERALLY being challenged by a white couple that wants to adopt indigenous children to erase their culture and Christianize them. The tribe, whom has a say in who can take their children, is like "Nah, we don't want our youth Christianized like you tride last time"

And the lawyer that's helping the white couple try to overturn ICWA (so that they can erase the cultures of indigenous children) is doing it pro-bono (which means he's not charging the couple anything).

AND that lawyer is a big time lawyer whose clients are usually oil and gas industries. He's literally fighting for indigenous children to be ripped from their tribes and culture so there's less indigenous people to protest big oil destroying their sacred land.

Mauna Loa is erupting, but it’s effects and it’s destruction go beyond the lava that will flow.

This eruption and lack of real response or aid by the federal US government marks another notch in the ignorance and dismissal of my people and our constant struggles.

They will do what they always do.

They will watch.

They will continue to “closely” monitor the situation as the lava disrupts the island and they will say the damage is unavoidable, while they sit far away and stall instead of sending real aid.

Mauna Loa makes up over half of Hawai‘i Island. There have been warning signs for months, with multiple earthquakes alerting us to her imminent threat.

And now the eruption is upon us.

Mauna Loa is famously unpredictable in her lava flow, and the future is uncertain for many residents who cannot afford to leave on their own. Without formal help and evacuation, many will have no choice but to stay where they are.

Still, as of Nov 28th, 2022, there is no official evacuation or formal aid by the federal government.

For years, America has claimed that we need them. For protection. For trade. For our economy. For tourism.

They have not protected us.

Right below our feet, our islands were stolen in an illegal overthrow of our sovereign Kingdom. This had lead to mass cultural displacement and loss of identity.

Right below our feet, our ʻāina has been commercialized to death and our culture has been turned into a walking attraction.

This is not protection.

True protection means community. True protection means Hawai‘i for Hawaiians.

America does not protect my people.

My people must protect ourselves.

Restore Hawai‘i to Hawaiians. End the American occupation.

Y'all I know you're all tired of hearing about this but you have GOT to put something on your blog. I don't know if there really has been a recent influx of new people onto Tumblr or something but I have NEVER been followed by this many blank blogs before. Like honestly a solid maybe half of my new followers these days are default pfp and header, no posts, no interaction other than to follow me. Lurking is fine if that's what you want to do but I'm begging you to do SOMETHING to make it more obvious that you're not a bot. I don't know who to block anymore.

republicans using the phrase “career politician” in smear campaigns is so funny. sorry I want a politician that studied political science or law and actually understands how the government works instead of a fucking nepotism baby businessman or any rando with enough money to get on the ballot. I also want a “career doctor” to take care of my medical concerns. a “career lawyer” to represent me in court.

i love 3D glaphics don't get me wrong but it pisses me off that 3D is the AAA standard now, i wish bigger studios were still making more big budget 2D games and shit. shoutout to indie devs for keeping the beauty of it all alive lol
