Lucid Backstory: Bringing Papyrus Back?

I really want to bring Lucid’s brother back (Papyrus). Originally he was destroyed with the broken timeline but I’m not satisfied with that.

Lucid, my g!sans, is originally a multiverse character so he doesn’t exist in one, single timeline. Which is why he also has multiple relationships that do not exist in the same timeline and is unaware of having a different partner in a separate timeline.

I doubt I’d bring Papyrus into those already established timelines (unless my rp partners would want Paps to join). That means a timeline where Papyrus is alive/resurrected would be in a single, stand alone timeline. How I can bring him back is still in question. I imagine the universe is still “collapsed” but maybe it was frozen into a save point? Going into the save point risks the universe code to wake and fall apart again, though Paps hasn’t fallen apart yet. Maybe some memory damage but he’s still Papyrus through and through.

Any suggestions on how to bring Paps back? I don’t like magic!anons or bringing him back by god-modding/wishes. Like as cute as it is for someone’s oc to come in and be like “ta-da! your brothers alive again!” that’s, no...big no.

Maybe Papyrus somehow unfroze? Like, I feel like Papyrus's and Sans's are special cases so maybe after a time Papyrus "glitched". Everything around him frozen in time but him... Not sure how he would get out though

Oooohh that’s an interesting possibility. Yeah the hardest part is getting him out of the frozen, crumbling universe. Maybe their Gaster could do something since he’s in the Void, but his powers are limited. Some sort of self-sacrifice to save his son is a possibility 🤔
