MORE HELLAVERSE REDESIGNS

Saying hellaverse this time cuz I also did some sin redesigns cuz sillies.

Gonna add some bits of info for like, three characters cuz I either changed their animal theming (Zestial and Mammon) or made them an animal (Mimzy).

First of all, I changed Zestial and Mammon's animals cuz -- and this is coming from a spider enthusiast -- there's too many spiders. I feel like Angel's family is enough major spider characters. So I made Zestial a centipede and Mammon a tick.

And then I made Mimzy a canary because I realized she literally has like, no animal or object theming. And I thought a canary would be fitting because 1) Songbird, and 2) A reference to her and Husk's beef, with the whole "the cat that caught the canary" saying.

In all honesty I haven't thought about it too much really, but I'm kind of leaning towards fashion !!! She just kind of gives that vibe imo (with the two canon images of her I have to work with) but I can see her being really elegant and fashion-forward if that makes sense?

oh boy rewrite of chaggie first meeting lore this is basically fanfiction atp but look at me look me in my peepers this is a rewrite ok... one that focuses on them more.

lets say for the sake of argument yk that vaggie is laying against a dumpster in pride, fresh after or maybe during- the extermination. she couldn't muster the strength to shove off the armor she has on, her shoulders are still singing with agony after her wings were ripped away. she's a wounded exorcist, she doesn't know how she's going to get back up to heaven- if she even can. If she was even wanted.

charlie's out here because as a hellborn and as demonic royalty she gets a pardon, so nothing is technically stopping her from going out and helping the injured since she has a kind heart.

charlie sees vaggie and takes pause, since... exorcist. she knows that armor, that haircut. they usually see her and know her face- lute's taken great pains to emphasize who is and who is not on the chopping block-- so to speak.

vaggie sees the princess and flinches. alarm. panic. she's a visibly harmed exorcist, an anomaly. vulnurable. the princess has every right in the realm to take out centuries of demonic hatred upon her, to smite her back to the source of creation from whence she came. but when she crouches down, speaks so softly- apprehensive, but still tender- asking if she's okay- something v has never even heard before in her life- she freezes. what does she even say? she's not meant for- made for a situation like this. she just gawps blankly, trying to scan charlie's face for any ounce of malcontent as her eye gets the treatment it desperately deserves.

charlie smiles, and v feels safe in her hands. that's a first.

charlie looks at v, tilting her head with curiosity as she surveys the injurys sustained- she had never seen an exorcist angel up close. she thought beauty was an inherent trait of angels, but this one was something special. the strength present- even in a broken body.

a voice in her head screams at her not to trust so easily- that an angel like this, an exorcist who must have slaughtered thousands of her kind- is evil. pure and simple. rage bubbles in her at the thought.

but she tempers this. surely, it's more complicated than "pure evil". is that not what the angels always claim of demons?

so there must be a reason why this one has no wings. and the others do. and she's never seen an angel without it's halo. ...this is hell, if a demon took posession of such things, it would make itself known immediately. which could only mean...

she shakes off the thoughts. Tries to think in the present. this angel- beautiful and perhaps much more multifaceted than at first blush- is still hurt. for once, she hopes upon her return to that crumbling hotel, she'll find none of the sinners she's healed there. ...they usually don't stick around anyway. And they especially wouldn't appreciate an exorcist angel.

v doesn't know how to respond to the touch, the comforting words. It still feels like she's a fly in a web, or tasting the nectar in a sweet hellflower before being drowned in it. she feels her defenses lowering. it feels wrong, being treated so delicately. It goes against how she's been taught for a hundred years. cruelty made her stronger, tougher. hardy. it's what she was tought to expect from the denizens of hell, but this...? her knees nearly buckle trying to walk on her own. charlie helps her up, despite the blood getting on her white button up. v's surprised she's dressed so modestly for being a princess, at her sweetness and kindness. she'd usually see such a thing from a saint up above, not from demon royalty.

she stumbles and falters, eventually leaning on her when her balance fails. it's like she can feel the kindness- the warmth... radiating from her. Or perhaps, it's her weeping wounds giving her that frightful chill- maybe anything is preferred to bleeding out. they walk, slow and steady.

"I'm Charlie."

"I know."

She pauses. "I'm Va- ...V. I'm V."

"Well it's vvvery nice to meet you, V."

v manages to crack a smile through the pain her face is in. ...despite the smells of sulfur and the bitter carbons of smoke and the stench of death, she finds herself at ease. she also smells charlie. and charlie smells like rain and flowers and sweet baked goods. like salvation. he says the only thing she can. despite it not coming naturally- she decides that this can be a start. that maybe one day, it will.

"Thank you. Thank you so much.

I owe you my life."

so like idk maybe that ? smth like that? sets up v's motivations and Why she's so devoted. or at the least more Clearly. charlie rewritten to be a bit more. smart. more princess-y. more. logicbrained while still being kind and caring and also the yuriii the yuri the yuri the yuriiii aaahh aahh

sharks are by far my fave example of this.
