Anyways here is a small explication on the Hellhound situation in my rewrite. Basically all breeds originate from Gluttony’s original hound, created by Lilith and later taken care by Beelzebub as their Queen because of her canine likeness and her indulgence of sinful desires. Since the Hellhounds were once the most desperate and neglected of demons, Queen Bee´s lifestyle was really admired by the hounds. Since Hell is divided by rings, each ring was a specific weather and environment in which the original residents evolved into their most efficient form to thrive in, including Hellhounds. Gluttony´s original hound is a breed similar to the Xoloitzcluintle and slowly the species gained alternative breeds by the long evolutionary history of living in the different rings. I tried to keep their features consistent (since I do like the idea of the hellhounds reflecting earth breeds) so I categorized them from working purposes and habitat. Nowadays you can find almost every breed in all rings, especially in Gluttony, but they do thrive better in their home Rings.
