so true
the “theatre of security”
they routinely let guns n knives thru but will wand the shit outta your belt buckle— and for sake of jesus can we stop takin off the shoes— no one do this in europe— it’s a stupid waste of time

I just wanna fly on a plane without being molested, and you're tweeting like your a 2014 brand account. I blame Wendy's for this shit.
anyway I hope the tsa gets abolished. they were hastely set up post 9/11 not as a way to actually protect anyone, but to invade our privacy and give the illusion of protection. not once in the tsa's 23 years of existence have they stopped a single terrorist attack. all they do is make your life difficult for people who travel, molest you if your body isn't perfectly cis, racially profile you, and abuse their power and invade your privacy

My Modern Met's Best of 2021: Top 10 Buildings and Structures That Opened This Year
After the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, in-progress construction work was paused and building deadlines extended. Now as we close out 2021, we can appreciate the architecture that finally made it to opening day. It’s time to reflect on some of the most inspirational and thoughtful projects of the year. Some of the projects on this list are perfect representations of our hopes for the future. They help us consider how we will continue to live in cities and how we will live together. All the projects on this list are united by one common thing: each building or structure is a bold architectural work that makes a concrete statement about our world.

On this day in 1638, Cambridge minister John Harvard died, bequeathing his library of 400 volumes to what would become known as Harvard College. A sole survivor from his library, known as The Downame Book, holds a place of honor at Houghton.

There is Real Siberian Winter. Despite the severe frosts Yenisei river does not covered by ice during the winter. It makes the cityscape fabulous.
I was shooting this video in the middle of February. The air temperature dropped to -40°С at night.

Aurora over the Lofoten Islands
Located in the far north of Norway, these islands are a mixture of Precambrian gneisses, with a bit of lava and granite thought to be related to Britain’s oldest rocks on the island of Lewis. The rocks are highly metamorphosed, having survived several continental separations and collisions since their birth back in the mists of deep time. Thanks to the Gulf Streamredistributing heat to the north Atlantic from the Caribbean they have the world’s warmest temperatures relative to their location, with averages remaining above freezing all year in some places. Their name comes from Old Norse, meaning lynx foot, and was originally applied to one of the eight main islands.

🎈Hot air Balloon in Cappadocia🎈 - This experience was one of those where pictures don’t do it justice.. seeing 150 hot air balloons fly over Cappadocia with @tomjauncey and @storyofsage was surreal - I made this video of Tom sitting on a rock watching the balloons and added an #iPhonex shot of our flight the day prior as I felt both moments were something I highly recommend someone to experience - This was my first hot air balloon experience so being able to tick this off my bucket list with the @beautifuldestinations team made it even better! - All in all, this @butterflyballoons ride was over an hour long all thanks to @pilot_faith.. Fatih was not only our amazing pilot who helped us get all the shots we needed but also drove us around to the spots in Cappadocia where not many tourists would go to. If you’re ever in Cappadocia, I strongly recommend hitting him up.. he’s a pretty busy guy but getting to see this incredible place with his help is worth it #bdteam 🎧: To the moon Artist: @no1
