In Order To Not Succumb To Sex Negative Conservatism You Have To Accept That People Will Get Off To Things
in order to not succumb to sex negative conservatism you have to accept that people will get off to things that are upsetting to you. and you cannot assume anything about what they have or have not experienced, what they do or do not believe, and how they act based solely on what gets them off. even if it's extremely confusing and disturbing to you. there are people who have only ever had heterosexual vanilla sex in missionary with the lights off, who actively contribute to more real world harm than your average fetish artist. kink is not a reliable source of information on someone's moral standing. it just feels good to think that way.

something that I feel like is missing from fandom nowadays is the idea that you dont have to have a unified, chronologically/tonally consistent interpretation of your favorite work. your fics dont have to fit within the same version of canon, even if theyre all canon-compliant on their own. your headcanons can contradict each other. be a multishipper. write metas that take two totally different interpretations of the same plot point. write a character as a villain and then write them as the hero next time. write a character as a lesbian and then write them as straight next time! engage in hypotheticals and drop them when you get bored! make up the rules as you go!! have fun with it!!!
Reblog if you want a bunch of “have you evers” and “would you rathers” in your ask box right now.
Please
Sometimes I like to stop and think about the fact that if you had a job where you made an annual salary of $1,000,000 (1 million dollars) per year, it would still take you one thousand years to earn $1,000,000,000 (1 billion dollars).
Just to put some context on exactly how much wealth 1 billion dollars really is.
The objectively funniest possible way for Darth Vader to have perceived Ahsoka getting yoinked into the portal at Malachor is for her to disappear into thin air. One second he's swinging his lightsaber at her, the next she's gone. He has no idea what happened. Is she dead? Did he somehow vaporize his Padawan former apprentice? He can't feel her presence in the Force anymore, so he decides that must be it.
But over the next few years, he notices a few...anomalies. Little things. Nothing certain, but the evidence is there and he knows Ahsoka's work when he sees it - there can't be that many orange Togrutas with blue and white montrals running black ops against the Empire. Somewhere, somehow, she's alive. The Force hums in agreement.
The A New Hope happens. He swings his lightsaber at Kenobi and the old man disappears into thin air.
Vader has seen this trick before. He won't be fooled by it twice.
His suspicions are confirmed when he senses his old master's presence guiding the boy who destroyed the Death Star: Obi-Wan Kenobi is still alive.
And the old traitor never taught Anakin how to teleport, even though he clearly took the time to teach Ahsoka!
Vader seethes with unimaginable rage.
