Please Help Save My Ella

I normally don’t do this. Even now I feel very guilty about making a post and asking, but I have no other options at this point. 

My dog Ella, who I had to leave down in Pennsylvania with my dad for the time being while I got settled in up here in Vermont has taken a dive with her health. My dad took her to the vet around 2 weeks back and we found out she has a tumor in her mammary glands… that just keeps growing as time goes on. He was able to get an estimate from them on how much it would cost to remove it…

The bill costs $639.20. That’s just an estimate they said. If things go differently, it could cost more. This includes taking the tumor out as well as spaying her, because they said that if we didn’t get her spayed, it would only happen again over and over again until the tumors were too much for her. Here is the estimate that my dad got. I have no way of getting the money to do it, but I cannot loose my dog. She has been through everything with me… Through the abuse I had to go through, through the panic and anxiety, through the depression that almost killed me. She is my emotional support and I just can’t loose her.

I found out from my dad today as well while I was at work and on a break that the stress from the tumor is giving Ella anxiety enough that she is chewing bald spots on her coat as well as scratching herself raw.

Here is the tumor. No. That isn’t puppies. That’s the tumor. The full black hairline is where her stomach should be. It’s bulged out that far.

Not only is she an emotional support dog for me, but she is also for my 2 kids who are still living down in Pennsylvania.

She has helped me raise my 2 boys, been there through the pregnancies, through the late nights, through the sick days and the  fun days. She protects them with her entire being, she protects me with her entire being.

And we really need her.

So please, if you could, anything would help.

Ella was the reason I got through my marriage, and was strong enough to actually walk away from my ex husband as I did.
