Ok... old AU thingy that I came out with months ago.

A Dark Materials AU in which soulmates’ daemons are switched at birth (but since soulmates are rare most people ignore this). So, when Zira’s daemon settled into a snake everyone judged it strange and disquieting, but Zira loved his Crawly dearly. Still he was unsettled, like he was missing something... until the day he met a stranger with a surprisingly affectionated duck.

The pointy boys do get along, no reason Zira to be so surprised...

I think that I will call this crossover “space omens”
