A Dark Materials AU in which soulmates’ daemons are switched at birth (but since soulmates are rare most people ignore this). So, when Zira’s daemon settled into a snake everyone judged it strange and disquieting, but Zira loved his Crawly dearly. Still he was unsettled, like he was missing something... until the day he met a stranger with a surprisingly affectionated duck.

Here in Italy the situation is not good, but our government and our people are strong and are dealing with the situation with great courage. I’ve been buried in my house for three weeks now (15th march). I’m getting tired, but I have my cats and a severe throat ache to keep me company.

I hope that this emergency will help in bringing people all over the world together (even if we have to physically stay far away from each other).
