Ive Been Diagnosed More Or Less Twenty Years Ago And If Ive Had A Penny For Every Time I Was Bullied/insulted/gaslighted/poisoned

I’ve been diagnosed more or less twenty years ago and if I’ve had a penny for every time I was bullied/insulted/gaslighted/poisoned by friends and complete strangers, I’d be probably worrying about investing my fortune than writing dumb comics about it.
I know that now coeliac has got more popular (aka: doctors know better and are able to make more diagnoses) and gluten-free diets had spread even to people that don’t need to follow them to keep their health. Still, I’m FUCKING TIRED of people treating something as serious as coeliac and gluten intolerances as a fancy quirk. I’m tired of people questioning my very dietary restrictions.
But you know what? Idiots are gluten-free.
Lucky.
Let’s eat them.

Seriously, if you’re a Gambit fan you NEED to read Leather Jacket by lasirene on AO3.
The story takes place after Wolverine’s Origins (yes the movie) and introduces many facets of the comic canon to it. After a couple of years spent in searching for his lost memories, Logan returns to New Orleans where he meets Gambit again and the Cajun helps his sort of friend in finding a lead to Victor Creed. It’s a story of healing.
The characterisation is flawless and very faithful to the canon comic counterpart (the well written canon comic counterpart). Both Gambit and Logan are in a very vulnerable place when this story takes place, but they’re still badass (I love in particular how the caring side of Gambit is brought forth side by side his most badass and competent one). The ship will be Gambit/Logan and it’s a textbook slow-burn.
The fanarts are from the fourth chapter in which Logan says goodbye to Gambit as a friend before starting to search for Creed. And yes I will never have a consistent style when drawing Gambit (this character means a lot to me).

Bonus bw because I liked this version

Also a quick doodle from chapter nine “Duke it out” because it was * chef kiss*

If you are not reading Doctrine by @battlemastershepard you’re seriously missing out.
This story is so nice and fresh and it has Viktor and young Ekko becoming friends, what more could you possibly want? (It’s also jayvik!!!)
For this piece I tried to go out of my comfort zone and tried new things with the lineart and the colors. Here a close up of the babies.
