The next few days, Nico withdraws from... everyone. Everyone but that kid. He barely says anything. He skips meals, he's missing half of the time, only being seen by his new sibling and a few campers who see him alone on the beach or in the shadows.

Percy notices, and he starts to worry. After a few days of trying to reach Nico he finally corners him.

"Nico what is going on?"

"it doesn't matter-"

"no one has seen you in a week it sure as hell matters. Where have you been? What's wrong?"

"and why do you care?!"

"..cause I'm your friend."

"...you wouldn't understand."

"i want too-"

"They're ten, Percy! Ten! Ten years old! I was ten! I was only ten years old! And she left me!"

And Percy freezes, the realization dawning on him, Bianca.

"...I would never leave them like Bianca left me. How..how could she do that to me, Percy? When I could never do that to them?"

"Nico.."

But percy hesitates. He doesn't have an answer. How could he know what to say?

And nico just shakes his head, dissolving into the shadows.

i changed it a lil, so leo doesn't see the vision, but I think it works better that way- leaving y/n to wonder if they should tell them or not, kind of a 'if I tell him will it mess with the future?' so they kinda wait for him to confess

they don't know much about their powers, Chiron said it was pretty rare, but you have sessions with Rachel to try and strengthen their powers

They went to visit Leo in bunker nine, maybe bringing him food because he didn't show up to lunch or something (He does this often because he refuses to wear a watch and get hyper-focused on projects)

when they get there, they don't find him working on his usual project, but tinkering with something small on a standing desk, and call out to him, making him look up

Reader asks what he's working on, and Leo proudly raises a chain link bracelet with a sun charm dangling from it.

he explains that it's for reader, and stands up to put it on them.

Reader holds out their wrist, slightly flushed, but touched by the gesture. but as soon as the metal touches their wrists, visions flash before their eyes-

it's them and Leo sitting on the camp beach, with Leo's arms around them, his head in their neck. Reader can vaguely hear Leo's voice, "I love you.."

then their back in the bunker, mouth open, staring at Leo with wide eyes. Leo could tell they had a vision, the way their eyes suddenly went white.

"what was it this time?"

Reader falters, just staring at him, trying to think up an answer

You groaned as the curtains over your bed were pulled open, instinctively pulling your comforter over your head and turning on your side.

"Mornin' baby..."

"Fuck off"

Its only responded to with a small snicker and a new weight on the side of your bed, "C'mon..."

He was using his nice voice, like he was lureing a kitty away from a sewer drain. His hands found your waist from over the comforter, and his hands turned you onto your back slowly.

"Leo...."

He laughs, and slowly reaches to pull the blanket away from your face. When you can finally see him again, he has his dumb happy face on and beaming eyes.

You were tired. Exhausted, even. Last night there was a monster attack that took forever to clean up after. But gods, you couldn't ignore the upwards tug of your lips when you saw him beaming at you.

"How do you have so much damn energy?"

He rolls his eyes, leaning over you he lowered himself to press a kiss to your forehead.

"Asshole..."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

He laughs and kisses you again.

"Mmmm.. i love you, Leo."

"I love you too... But you still have to get up."

"I don't love you that much-"

You're cut off with another kiss, and as much as you'd hate to admit it, there's worse ways to wake up.
