When you have two characters that you want to put into all the situations but you have to decide on only a few situations that are actually linear and canon.

Recently I’ve been obsessed with SCP Foundation AUs where horrifying monsters get romantically attached to D-class personnel. Just something about being in a hopeless situation where you’re own kind see you as disposable but something completely alien sees you as precious. I especially like it if the d-class is wrongly convicted because I think it makes the grim dark aspect of the SCP Foundation all the more apparent. Like the universe as a whole is conspiring against the character.

Role reversal but in a scenario where that should just straight up be impossible. Like the species turning it around on the pred? Categorically should not actually be able to. The society? Totally sided against the “prey” to the point you’d think it wouldn’t even occur that they could fight back let alone like this. The biology? Totally against the species presently turning things around. This isn’t just a world where pred and prey can switch places, no, like demonstrably what is taking place should not be possible but evidently in this case it’s happening and a predatory species who had no inkling they were in any danger, suddenly finds themselves on the menu.

Sort of an offshoot of my last scenario. But the idea of prey being more scared for the pred than themselves has always been fascinating. Like they know it’s the preds nature to turn on them and they’ve already forgiven them for it. But they know that the consequences of the pred doing so could lead to the preds death or imprisonment, even as they’re disappearing down into the pred they’re more worried for the pred than themselves.

You know I read a Hannigram fic once where Hannibal said he’d eat every part of Will and then sleep in the same bed as his bones. I don’t know how practical sleeping with bones would be but it came off as ghoulishly sentimental in the story.

Sometimes you just see a fictional character and you immediately think to yourself: “This character would make an absolutely perfect pred” but you can’t say that out in the open because not everyone has a vore fetish.
