Soft Reset Masuda Method (SRMM): Full Guide
I didn't see much info for this online besides one or two videos and a couple of Reddit comments, so here's my full explanation of Masuda Method in SV with soft-resetting!

What is Masuda Method?
Masuda Method is a way of shiny hunting that involves breeding your desired Pokemon with a foreign Ditto (a Ditto from another region). Doing this increases your shiny odds to 1 in 682, or 1 in 512 if you have the shiny charm.
Without the Masuda Method or Shiny Charm, your full odds are 1 in 4092!!
Pros and Cons of SRMM:
Pros: You don't need to mass-release your mons in Pokemon Home, and you don't need multiple sandwiches per batch of eggs. You can also get away with using a Level 3 Egg Power sandwich, instead of only Level 2!
Cons: SRMM is not recommended for players whose games are prone to crashing. You also do need to make the sandwich every time you start a new batch of eggs.
How to set up SRMM:
REQUIREMENTS:
A foreign Ditto
1 Sweet Herba Mystica
3 Banana and 2 Chorizo
If you're using a Level 2 Egg Power sandwich, you'll need 1 Banana, 1 Peanut Butter, and 1 Butter instead.
STEP 1:
Autosave is turned OFF
(Optional but advised for convenience) Auto-nicknaming is turned OFF
Get the desired Pokemon and the foreign Ditto in your party. They must be the only mons in your party.
Leave your Boxes open on a page where you have at least 3 entire empty pages to spare so your Boxes aren't a mess later.
Go to the Olive Rolling Field (that one place in Cortondo from the Bug Gym trial) and stand just outside the fencing. Save the game HERE. Do not save at any point after this.
STEP 2:
Start a picnic and make a sandwich. If you're making a Level 2 Egg Power sandwich, choose recipe #17 and make your sandwich. If you're making a Level 3 Egg Power sandwich, enter Creative Mode with the X button instead.
Using Creative Mode, select 2 Chorizo, 3 Banana, and 1 Sweet Herba Mystica. To minimize the chances of dropping any ingredients during sandwich creation, PLACE THE CHORIZO FIRST, then the bananas on top.
It should also be noted that the top bun of the bread doesn't need to be placed at all. You can literally throw it in the corner and have it disappear and the sandwich effects won't change. In fact, it's recommended to do this if your sandwich has a lot of ingredients delicately balanced on each other.
STEP 3:
After your sandwich has been made, set a timer IRL for 30 minutes. You can't check the food effects timer ingame without closing the picnic, so just set a timer IRL instead.
Check your basket every 2-3 minutes! You can just go AFK inbetween checking. The picnic basket maxes out at 10 eggs, so you'll wanna make sure you aren't losing potential eggs by letting the egg basket fill up to the max.
STEP 4:
Get hatching! Get 5 eggs in your party plus a Flame Body Pokemon, go inside the Olive Rolling Field, and run in circles on Koraidon/Miraidon.
If you hatch all of the eggs in your boxes and don't get the shiny, simply Home button and close the game. You will always get different eggs every time you soft reset this way. Again, do NOT save after getting the eggs. You will lose your sandwich ingredients.

(Minor story spoilers as well)
So, Brightest Night is a Sword and Shield wedlocke story! It's a nuzlocke concept where pokemon who faint are dead forever, however, pokemon are also paired by opposite gender and fight in pairs! Hence the name "WEDlocke".
The story features Flare, a young girl who never expected to actually partake in the gym challenge, let alone make it far at all. She believes that glory should go to Hop! She's a supportive friend who's content watching from the sidelines, however, she finds herself put into the spotlight in this story.
Plenty of character interactions with Hop and Flare, as well as Bede and Marnie! The whole gang is here!! :D
Oh and the best part? Sordward and Shielbert, those guys who were barely relevant until the postgame in the actual game's story? They're ACTUALLY relevant in Brightest Night, just like in the Pokemon SWSH manga! Chairman Rose is genuinely fascinating as a character too!! So is Bede!! I love that most of the characters most people don't care about get their own chance to shine!!
If you're worried about the story just being a repeat of Sword and Shield's canon story, it's not. It has a lot of fun and insane twists of its own, and it definitely deserves more recognition!

IMPORTANT DETAIL: The Pokemon can talk!!
I'll admit it wasn't a concept I was familiar with until I read this story, but it makes for a lot of fun characterization and group dynamics between all of the characters! It's definitely worth giving a chance if you're iffy about this idea.

he cant help but admire you to a fault. you're just so amazing, and what is he by comparison...? just the former champion's younger brother, who lost in the semifinals...
he gets caught up in his head a lot. it takes a lot to get him down, but after everything you and him have been through, he can't help it.
despite this, he tries his best to help people. as a pokemon professor, he introduces the next generation of youths to the joy of pokemon. he teaches them kindness, passion, and healthy competition. honestly, he's great at what he does-- he'll just never say it himself.
he's still smitten with you, despite having known you for so long. hop wants nothing more than to see you smile, it fulfills him beyond belief.
you're always busy being champion, but you still make time for him, and he appreciates it more than you know. the least he can do is make sure the paparazzi stays off your tail; he's practically glued to your side and watching over you like a hawk. he won't let anyone bother you without a good reason.
he's honestly such a sap when it's just you and him... he'll sweet talk you for hours, joking about calling you silly pet names while holding you close. he really does love you, so please stay by his side.
he gets flustered easily when you compliment him. he just-- doesn't expect it?? and it leaves him feeling fuzzy and warm.
he doesn't exactly flaunt his battle prowess, but i think deep down, part of him knows he's still got skills. hell, he was one of the only gym challengers to make it as far as you! that doesn't stop him from being bashful whenever he wins a battle against anyone though. bro literally congratulates the opponent and shakes their hand, he's so polite 😭
whenever you get sad or down for any reason, hop secretly beats himself up for it. he could've been there for you sooner or done something to prevent this-- why can't he be a good partner for you? please reassure him, his heart cares for you so much,,
he compliments you a LOT. tells everyone how amazing you are to the point where some might think it's embarassing... but if you don't mind, then he doesn't hold back!

i came up with this idea today and wanted to write out my concepts!! i took band class as an elective in middle school and high school, so i may or may not be a huge nerd for instruments haha 😳
Paldea Crew
Arven plays acoustic guitar in his off-time, seperate from band practice. But he mainly plays electric guitar and is learning drums from Nemona!
Speaking of which, Nemona plays the drums! Penny plays keyboard, she has her own custom-designed one.
Florian is on vocals and Juliana plays bass guitar! Arven also does vocals with Florian sometimes.

Lacey's vocals are the band's pride and joy, they love her voice and think she absolutely deserves the spotlight!
The Paldea Crew and BB Elite Four would definitely have a battle of the bands, except they'd also have Clavell and Cyrano as their secret backup members... those two have the most epic rap battles 😭

Pokemon fans will say that Gens 2 or 3 or 5 or 9 are the best generations of Pokemon to date and it's like.... Yeah, that's okay, obviously these experimenting generations are gonna hit different people as their favorite gen, thus making them say it's the best.... but then these statements about which game is the best will be tainted, cos then they'll say some shit like
"... because the Pokemon designs are just so lame these days."
"... because the 3D models are ass and they can't even get textures right."
"... because that's when the gyms were hard!"
"... because GAMEFREAK doesn't care about how the game runs anymore."
And I can't help but immediately disregard your opinion. If you can harbor hate in your heart for the cousin of your favorite generation in Pokemon, then I have no doubt that you aren't truly seeing each game for what makes them great.
Gen 1 was the beginning, a crazy idea and held together just as much by technology as it was by human spirit.
Gen 2 was quite literally made for the franchise to die on, giving small tokens of love and balance to the little things, and yet fans loved it so much that it lived on.
Gen 3, a jump to true color, a jump to complexity and texture in combat and a jump to a more sweeping story.
Gen 4, when music really started to make it big within the games, and difficulty became a facet of gameplay and not an accident of the coding (^^')
Gen 5, when an artstyle was achieved, one that inspired countless others to create both fangames and Pokemon-adjacent games
Gen 6, where 3D models were boldly explored, and new ideas were welcomed by the armful.
Gen 7, when the old was truly moved out of the way so that the new could shine bright.
Gen 8, where little touches and spoonfuls of love carried three games, each more than the last
And Gen 9, where the open world expanded so far that you could shake up the order you challenged gyms, brought a warm and heartfelt story not once but thrice, and where there's still so much to explore... if you just shut up and give it a try 😂
