THIS IS A RELIGIOUS BLOG!

Not super fandom related, but this blog is already a mess haha. I got inspired to do a portrait of Hermes while doing some research about Greek Mythology. It was inspired by a portrait I found, so I decided to redo it in my own style as an exercise. I wasn't sure about which background colour to use so I thought why not both?
The original image I used for reference can be found in this article: https://littleelephantastrology.org/finding-hermes/
for the ask game !

⭐ - What is something you wish people outside your practice knew more about?
I wish people knew that everyones experience with a deity is different and not to do readings on someone without their permission!
🌱 - Does nature - plants, nature spirits, etc. - play a big role in your practice?
yes!! if im doing a festival id ask a spirit of it for help and I use herbs
When they call me a cripple on the street and laugh at me limping along, I ask Lord Hephaestus to limp alongside me.
I think of His epithets, Amphigyḗeis, "the lame one"; literally "lame on both sides" and Kyllopodíōn, "club-footed" or "of dragging feet". How His disability is revered as divine.
And I feel less alone.
Do any other neurodivergent pagans struggle with keeping up with their practice?
I’ve recently developed a pretty intense fixation on Elden Ring, as in I play it any chance I get and when I’m not playing it I’m thinking about it just as deeply. As with all my fixations, this has kind of made daily activities quite difficult since I’m either playing my game or wishing I was and being frustrated when I can’t. Not to mention I keep forgetting and misplacing everything.
So naturally this has interfered with my practice. I kept saying I’d clean Lord Apollon’s altar but forgot two days straight. I haven’t been able to be with him as much as before since I’m too fixated. I ended up missing one of my nightly sessions because I physically couldn’t pull myself away from my game until I was too tired to function. The list goes on.
I’ve felt like such a sub-par devotee recently. I feel like Lord Apollon deserves better than me, even though he’s been very understanding.
Do any other neurodivergent practitioners go through this as well? Is there a way around it?
