I'm not even a fan of dinluke but it intrigues me how some people discredit luke (and even din) in their stories or hc, make din dark and possessive when he isn't? the guy cares about his friends but does he know when he has to let go (chapter 16 the rescue? is there to prove it) and make luke stupid, naive and someone who wants to stay home when it's the opposite of his personality? he's been through a lot of shit and has a lot more emotional intelligence than din and is a 10x better warrior than din (I won't quote some people talking about din vs vader because... it's just unreal) and luke is a adventurous by nature, he loves to fly and discover new planets, help people and just erase it? turning him into a housewife...

listen, if dinluke were real; *din djarin* would be the one who would stay at home and luke would be the one who would be hanging around... probably going on missions together or on an insane adventure. enjoy this couple but seriously don't make they occ, din is not a mean and possessive and cruel person, he is introverted and a little shy socially but is fair and altruistic and kind & luke is not dumb and naive, he is extremely smart, he is a formidable warrior who has several problems - like his constant struggle with the dark side, but he CHOOSES to be good and kind and trust people but he is still a war general and a survivor.

i don't care about dark fics and I avoid reading them because I don't like to stress, but it's a little tricky when your favorite character is decaterized in a way that you can't recognize him.

i love cute fics where vader survives and has quality time with luke, but i would really love to see something that explores more the tense and dark part of their relationship; the fear that luke still feels for his father, the vader temper still countless, the conflict over the dark side between the two, the guilt and remorse but also seeing them talking about their childhoods, their hobbies, their fears and talking about padmé...

anakin share about his mother and their time with the jedi well like luke talking about his uncles and his time in tatooine, i want to see this part of their relationship blossoming from a gray and uncharted area to common ground...

luke may have forgiven him but he still fears him for everything that happened to him, do I see them being father and son but I also want to see two opposite people who share common traits but who are still so different from each other

this kind of relationship is always left to leia-vader but forget about luke's trauma, show me that side between these two without all the roses and flowers but without all the pain and anguish, balance those emotions, put some humor maybe, because anakin and luke deserve to have that kind of relationship growing into a real, loving father-son relationship.
