does anyone know how i'd be able to format my posts with specific hex colours as opposed to sticking with tumblr's usual set? there's really not enough range especially when i'm talking homestuck which has a Very specific set of colours for every character & concept

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

i am loving that take, and i think i may have phrased things poorly when i say that heather chandler didn't have those depths. i think there's definitely some veracity to veronica's idea that she detested her position of popularity and her existence as a two-dimensional figurehead as opposed to a real human being, i was moreso referring to the over-the-top paragon of goodness that they paint her as in TMIOM being a lie.

i see a lot of fan works sanitizing heather chandler so much that she feels almost unrecognisable. we're talking about a character who is first described to the audience as a 'mythic bitch' and people are afraid to make her mean?

she's so much more interesting when you take into account that cruelty. yes, heather chandler is a victim just as everybody else in the cast is, but that does NOT make her exempt from being a bad person. i think the musical downplays the abuse she subjects duke to by making duke comically unlikeable to the point where it feels deserved?

yes, she has redeeming traits. yes, the movie explicitly displays her being victimized (and being coerced into non-consensual sexual activity!). yes, she is intentionally deified after her death as a point of irony because the real heather chandler did not possess the depths that her fictionalised self did.

it's like saying that kurt & ram are secretly gay lovers. you completely miss the point of veronica & jd's forgery and it underplays everything their storyline is meant to point out about homophobia and toxic masculinity.

i appreciate that some people aren't willing to/aren't comfortable with acknowledging some of the darker parts of heathers as a story but the flanderization this fanbase performs sometimes is ridiculous.
