BTS x Pacific Rim AU

A story about seven interconnected people trying to protect and care for one another, while also fighting giant monsters (Kaiju) by piloting giant robots (Jaegers). Pilot pairs "drift" with one another to share the mental load of directing a giant robot.

Ranger Park Jimin and Ranger Kim Taehyung were the stars of the Busan Shatterdome in their Jaeger Chingu Dynamite--

--until an accident grounds Chingu and leaves Taehyung with a disabling condition.

Marshal Kim Namjoon, in charge of the whole Busan Shatterdome, is down to one last Jaeger, but he only has one pilot - Jimin - to put in it. He and the Chief of Operations, Kim Seokjin--

--who are, incidentally, married to one another, have to find a co-pilot for Jimin.

Their best option is ace rookie Cadet Jeon Jungkook, a prodigy on paper, but a nightmare in the drift, nicknamed The Rabbit--

--who would be an excellent co-pilot, except that everyone who tries to drift with him gets stuck deep in his memories and can't concentrate on piloting.

But with Taehyung's condition worsening--
