At this point I am seriously suspecting I might be a masochist because yesterday I was worrying over how hard it would be to keep on top of everything once Easter Break ends and what did I go and do today? I added more things to my schedule. I didn't have to, they are not vital to my future, but still I went and took on more responsibility than I can reasonably handle.
Anyway, today was the Resurrection/ Orthodox Easter, and we had dinner at my grandma's and she made homemade baklava, which was soo good.

I started reading The Once & Future Witches in Spanish today and it's very challenging and will probably take me a month to finish, but also I'm so excited that I've reached a point where I can understand a lot of it.
Some relatives came over today and they asked me about acting and I was reminded why I love it so much. It made me want to work so much harder to achieve my goals. (Said goals being slightly unclear right now, what with me finishing acting school soon and having no idea how to find an internship.)

I was so focused to and anxious about finishing the arc book on time that I didn't do anything else study wise. But I did go out to eat for the first time in months and honestly, it was one of the most exciting things I did in a while. Plus, there was a direct view of the Parthenon from the bus station and believe me, the pic isn't doing it justice at all.

I'm struggling a lot with feeling guilty when I do anything "unproductive" and as a result I never get to truly rest because even when I do restful things my brain is punishing me for it. Which then , ironically, results in me spending more time doing unproductive stuff and procrastinating on my work. Anyway, as a way to combat this I've decided that for every two hours of "productive" work I'm going to allow myself to watch one episode of a tv show guilt-free.

One of these days I need to start taking pictures for these.
Anyway, not the most productive day but I feel like I'm getting there.

In the evening I went to the theater with my grandmother and we ended up leaving during the break, which I'm feeling bad about. Usually, I never leave in the middle of a show no matter how much I hate it, because a) I respect everyone's effort into making it and b) as someone who wants to do this professionally, I feel that I can always learn something from anything I watch, even if it's just what I don't want to do. But I really disliked this one and the duration was three and a half hours. I just couldn't convince myself to stay.
27/04
I didn't do much today, just worked in cleaning my room a little bit, did a couple of minutes of spanish and went to the theater.
I also went to my tattoo studio for a check up appointment and thankfully my tattoo is healing well.

I had planned a lot of things for today but I ended up falling asleep in the middle of the day π«€ I clearly needed to rest so I'm trying not to be mean to myself about it.
Today I:
- performed for an exam ( I'm satisfied with my performance but there are some things I need to work on)
- studied Spanish for a little bit
- wrote and published a book review that was due yesterday
Currently reading: Suicide Club by Rachel Heng
Iβm bored and nosy. Please reblog this with the book youβre currently reading.
guess who's back
We are capable of big lives. A big history. Why settle? Why choose the practical thing, the mundane thing? We are born to dream and make the things we dream about.
- Nicola Yoon, The Sun Is Also a Star

Hey did you know I keep a google drive folder with linguistics and language books that I try to update regularly

(when I said my study space was aesthetic, I really meant it)
Today was a good day productivity-wise and also I got to watch 2.5 episodes of The Witcher and eat dessert for dinner. It's not in my to-do list but I started a new skincare routine and I've been sticking to it thus far ( it's been only 12 hours but still). In other news, my piercing has been healing nicely and I'm in love with it. I'm getting another one tomorrow (or two, I haven't decided yet).
Today I:
β’ studied spanish grammar (using spanishdict, 100% recommend)
β’ read an ebook in spanish (using linga, like it thus far, I'll probably get the subscription)
β’ did speech exercises Γ2
β’ studied history of theater
β’ studied guitar theory
β’ managed organisation's social media page
The positives of βputting yourself out thereβ are worth it. Having a great conversation with a stranger will be worth the awkwardness of starting that exact conversation. Joining a small community of people you will see regularly is worth having to get through a scary first day. Getting your dream job is worth the scariness of chasing it. Donβt pick and choose experiences based on the level of ease now, but choose them based on how you want to come out of them.
( I don't remember what day I'm on but I'm also too stubborn to begin again so I'll add it when I figure it out)

I had a really nice morning. I got a new piercing and I don't know about you but ,for me, piercings are an almost meditative experience. I really enjoy the entire process. Then I went to one of my favorite bookstores and bought a couple of pens and highlithers, which got me really excited to take notes. I don't know how long the excitement will last, but I suppose I can always go and buy more pens. After, I went to my favorite cafΓ© and spent some time drinking a gorgeous iced latte and reading ( I'm currently reading Dance Dance Dance and honestly, I haven't formed an opinion yet).
When I came home, I spent an hour (total) studying spanish grammar and while it wasn't much, it was also the most productive I've managed to be in a while so I'll take the win.
In the evening we had a family gathering at my grandma's to celebrate her birthday and we ordered take out and even video called an uncle of mine that I haven't seen in years.
I hate how long recovering from burnout can take, but I'm trying and , honestly, I'm doing so much better than I was even six months ago, and that's what matters.
Ps. I also started learning how to write in cursive and it's been fun (and surprisingly difficult)
Hey, I had a couple difficult days (headaches, sensory overload, mini meltdown) so I paused the productivity challenge and everything else while trying to recover but I'll probably post again tomorrow (properly). Anyway, take care y'all and have the best day you can ππ€
I JUST found out A Kind of Spark has its own tv adaptation ( I remember reading that it was going to happen back when I read the book but then completely forgot about )!!!
When you get this you have to list 5 books/book series you love πβ₯οΈ. Then send this ask to last 5 persons from you notification. Spread love. π
I love this concept so much, thanks for asking me!

2) Crier's War (series) by Nina Varela
3) The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
