Alexey was my first ever bodybuilding infatuation.

As a skinny 140lb boy who thought a few push ups and sit ups was all it took to get ‘big’, I will never forget the impact of this mans steroidal magnificence on my 19 yr old mind.

All of a sudden I just knew this was what I wanted. Overnight my goals transformed. Instead of wanting to be ‘lean’ and ‘toned’ I now wanted to be thick, vascular and most importantly, represent steroidal masculinity just like he did.

He doesn’t seem as active nowadays and looks to be coaching people now rather than competing himself. Which is a crying shame. But no matter, the fire inside me was lit the moment I clapped eyes on him. A fire that I will be stoking even further this week 💉

And that my brothers is why we do what we do.

Because we understand one simple truth:

This is what a man should look like.

My second pin of this cycle is now complete. Slightly delayed because of a wedding I had to attend yesterday, but no matter. We’re back on track.

No, not a joke chum.

I think to many people, steroid use seems like some crazy thing that Schwarzenegger did 40 years ago and only a few lunatics do nowadays. But that really could not be further from the truth.Steroid use is so much more prevalent than the average member of the public thinks, and my belief in that has only strengthened since I started being more open about my own usage.Not only do I get a literal avalanche of private messages in the form of support, discussion and intelligent debate, but a handful of guys in my everyday life have even opened up about their own usage as well. And a handful more have signalled their desire to use them but fear to do so because of the stigma and lack of clear information surrounding them.Steroid users are all around us, and they’re perfectly decent and otherwise law-abiding citizens: I know a doctor who uses them, I know a lawyer who uses them, I know a bar owner who uses them, I know a cashier in a shop who uses them, and I (an engineer) use them too. There simply isn’t a convenient, one size fits all ‘roid brah’ mould. With that in mind, we can either ridicule and push the behaviour underground or, we can try to expand our blinkered thinking and see the world as it really is.

Sorry but I have already made my mind up on fit and finish choices lol:

1) I want to maximise the amount of flesh on show so I will be opting for ‘Pro’ cut rather than ‘Standard’

2) I find shiny/wet-look finishes the hottest so the above colours will be shiny rather than lycra or velvet etc

1) Huge slabs of quad meat jutting out in front

2) Back arched to show his pin-cushion glutes

3) Tiny roided balls tucked away between quads

4) Fists clenched with arms/delts popping

5) Stomach pulled in until it hurts
