We've Got A Concept, Peeps!

We've got a concept, peeps!

He's no longer just a head and some shoulders lmfao, look at him go :D

I always knew pirate clothes would be fun to draw ^-^

And don't worry, I've done some research!! Any 'rules' that I've broken in this doodle, I've broken on purpose for the sake of a more interesting picture

A pirate captain wouldn't have worn a fancy long coat while out at sea, but rather something similar to what regular sailors would have worn at the time, just like the rest of the crew. If a pirate captain did have such a coat, it wouldn't really have been worn unless they were up on land. (or, down on land, in this case?)

But this is just a silly little fantasy doodle, so I've decided to let him have his fancy coat, along with a slightly more luxurious red fabric for some details (some of which I have yet to add) in his get-up :]

If anything about the pose looks off, please do tell me! I draw most of my doodles without reference (other than what I have in my head, I suppose), so constructive criticism is very welcome! ^-^

I'm working on ✨the boy✨ right now, and I can't choose which hairstyle I want to move forward with TTvTT

The first one is obviously just what he wears in the movie (with the exception of the very end, RIP baby rat tail 😔🙏)

The second one is how I imagine he would wear his hair in a future where he continues to go on adventures, rather than enrolling in the interstellar academy

This drawing will be of an older Jim (maybe early to mid-twenties?), so I do lean towards the second option, but I also feel like he's a lot more recognisable in the first one!

I might just end up making two versions, I already have both of them on separate layers from the rest of the sketch after all, lmao

Today's character is enjoying the sunlight ^-^

I tried to put some more thought into the rendering this time, and I think I did alright!

I'm super happy with how his hair turned out, I had a lot of fun with it and I think it looks really cool :]

(I might be a little biased towards rat-tails and mullets though bahahaha)

By the way, constructive criticism and suggestions on which expressions I should draw are very welcome! I don't know if I've mentioned this already, ignore it if I have ^-^

Hello peeps!

Here's day three of drawing a new expression (and consequently, a new character) each day ^-^

Their furthermost eye kept fighting me on the iris-placement, so they'll just have to have a slight lazy-eye! Lmao

I don't know how visible it is, but it's a fun little detail about the character either way ^-^

I'm not sure how I would title this expression, other than 'cocky', perhaps fuckboy is more accurate

Their gender is a complete mystery to me tbh, @thescribblings commented that they feel very sapphic, but my initial plan was to draw a man! Maybe they're genderfluid just like me :]

I feel like I'm getting pretty good at rendering!! And I'm super happy with how the mouth turned out, that perspective is always so tricky for me TTvTT
