if you read in a frog paper “specimen was released in the field immediately after capture” chances are very good that what it actually means is
“i dropped the damn frog and despite the fact that we fell all over each other no one could recapture it”

Lmao! I’m just imagining Harrow being utterly serious and leaning over to whisper to John.
“You’re daughter calls me God, too.”
Alright, so I've been thinking about Gideon-as-a-Jesus-metaphor again (I say "again" as if I ever stopped), and...
Okay, so Jesus doubts God twice, biblically speaking. Once, in the Garden when he asks God to let him live and not have to go through with losing his life. And then, a second time, while he's actively dying, when he cries out asking God why He has forsaken him in his moment of greatest need.
And my first thought was "huh, I wonder if we're going to get something like that in TLT". But, at least in my opinion, it doesn't seem like Gideon has enough respect for John for her doubt of him to have any real narrative weight (though who knows where Alecto will go).
But then it occurred to me that we HAVE already seen Gideon have a "why have You forsaken me" moment... with Harrow. Throughout HtN, Gideon is effectively in the process of dying, and she doesn't understand why Harrow rewrote her own brain to forget her, rather than simply "eat her"/accept Gideon's sacrifice. And there's one point where she directly mentions this, pointing out that she believes it shows how little Harrow cared for her. Essentially, you know... "why have you (Harrow) forsaken me".
Anyway, what I'm saying is:
Griddlehark is essentially just a really long and slow burn "your daughter calls me daddy, too" meme feat. Harrow and John.
Oh my lesbian Jesus! Does this mean Harrow’s noodilest of noodle arms are just, like, regular people arms? Cause I’m pretty sure that sword is bigger than Harrow. And Gideon only thinks they’re noodily because she’s used to ‘can pick up a sword’ and ‘is literally two seconds from dying’ as her mental scale of strength. Only ‘can pick up a sword’ means swinging around a 6 foot long 3.5 lbs (plus) length of metal for an extended period of time so pretty much everyone she’s ever met is ‘weak’ and ‘frail’. Never once realizing she’s only met, like, 200 people? Tops? And most all of them were really weak and frail but also, dear John Gideon, how big are your arms?
Gideon’s that really encouraging and positive gymbo who never realized most people can’t do a single push up, never mind one armed pull ups.
Did anyone else miss the first time around that Gideon's two-hander is six feet long????? Griddle how tall are you???? Those biceps MUST be impressive holy cow ma'am

With 2020 now behind us and 2021 starting off like a bad hangover I wanted to take a moment to look through some fun times from the past year. To start off here are my top 10 photos from 2020, as chosen by you. ^^
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Hanna Vander Woude, Rae, Lexi The First, Steven the Second, and Miles Landis for making these all possible.
I cannot express how fortunate I feel to have quarantine companions who support me, encouraged me to be my best, and who tolerate my “artistic explosions” ( if you’ve ever lived with a crafter / artist type you know the struggle). lol
They kept me sane during a very turbulent year. THANK YOU!❤️

date a selkie, but don’t hide her cloak. let her go home and visit her family now and then, knowing that she’ll come back and hang her seal cloak in the closet like she always does. trust is important.
