It was Halloween, why shouldn't she decorate? She's been careful, really, and in her opinion, she hasn't overdone it.

"People talk about consequences, but I'm just grateful I haven't, uh, fallen off of my ladder. But hey, it's not Halloween without a few tricks thrown in with the treats, right?"

Lips are pursed as she slips her glasses off to wipe them on her shirt. It’s a pondering gesture, with her brows furrowed in concentration. “A lawyer would be stupid, anyways,” Chaz mumbles, almost to herself, “one shit, um, coworker isn’t worth the fees or headache.” A huff, when she realizes the smudges aren’t getting any better, and the glasses are pushed back up her nose. “Listen, I’ll, uh, be your alibi even. Just help me get back at that dickhead and I’ll owe you everything.”

A small chuckle follows suit and she leans onto the counter, propping herself up. “I really do appreciate the offer. I, um, love sowing a little chaos here and there.”

well, she’s not explaining her reluctance in dealing with the law. ❝ hmm. NO. ❞ helin drums her fingers on the kitchen counter, considering the options. her first instinct is to offer a solution of the permanent kind, FRIEND'S DISCOUNT ― the best anyone’s ever reacted to that so far is to laugh. ask her if she’s joking. shame. a lot of people could really do with some pruning. ... perhaps she just needs to word it better. An almost pained hiss leaves Chaz as she watches the result with concern. Another crime, another day without a criminal caught. “Oooh, you’ll get ‘em next time. I have a, uh, good feeling you will!” A hard pat to the shoulder and shaky smile.

“If it makes you feel any better… chaos is rarely predictable. Can’t pin it down, much like killers—sometimes. Those can, um, become traceable.” She was no crime expert, and she almost thought about offering another shake of the ball, but…she really hated the idea of testing their luck. An awkward nod and click of the tongue follows suit, a half-hearted thumbs up.

“You, uh, got this. As for my opinion? They’re a slippery bastard, but I think they’ll, um, surprise us. Hopefully in a good way—we’ll catch them before they act again. They’ll become sloppy.”

Chaz holds up her hands in defense despite being unable to hide the mischievous grin on her lips. "Those really are your, uh, words. Not mine!" A nonchalant shrug follows as she paces. "I think you're actually pretty clever, but you're just perpetuating the, um, definition of insanity at this point. Don't you ever get tired of chasing me around? Must be, uh, exhausting cleaning up my mess."

A head tilt his way, almost as if she was saying 'oops!', much like a cat knocking something off of a table would.
