Marius Is Conversationally Fluent In Greek, But His Reading And Writing Leaves Much To Be Desired. Adelpha

Marius is conversationally fluent in Greek, but his reading and writing leaves much to be desired. Adelpha didn't really teach him the reading and writing as well as she could have, and Marius struggled to pick it up as a kid learning it alongside English. He still tries to study it in his spare time, when he gets around to it, but he still has a long way to go. Especially since a lot of the written recipes his mother gave him are written in Greek.

I forgot to include, which was partially the reason I made this post, that he prefers almond milk over soy. If it works to use almond, he will.

Marius is lactose intolerant. It developed when he was a preteen, but he didn't realize what it was until he was about 14 when he and some friends went out for ice cream and he spent the rest of the day in pain. Trying to change his diet was hard, but he eventually found some substitutes he loves. All the dishes he makes at home use dairy free substitutes. Adelpha doesn't mind, but does insist any time he makes something that is her personal favorite that he use dairy. Which, of course, Marius doesn't mind doing for her.

"Christmas... Mum and I always fly home for Christmas." Marius could remember the year his ex was supposed to go with them. He had so hoped he would, but in the end he came back to the city to spend the holiday with his own parents. One year, maybe they could have. But, Marius just didn't think it would happen. And of course, now it never would.
Marius shrugged, flashing a smile to Acelin before lifting his glass to take a sip, "But, that's life, innit? Win some, lose some. Along with some sappy cliché about love that probably isn't true."
