Bringing about the end of the world had not been enough for Michael Langdon, instead, he continued to wreak havoc in the outpost. The promise of the sanctuary held everyone in suspense, tensions rising to astronomical heights as the interview process continued. Your interrogation was meaningless, life in the outpost sending you so far into nihilism that you didn’t have a preference over whether you lived nor died. Existence was hopeless, and in any case would be short lived. What little joy you managed to squeeze out of the set of circumstances you had found yourself in seemed to derive from a very unlikely source. Ms Venable.

Ms Venable’s reputation preceded her, formidable and unyielding, but you were adamant that there had to be something that lurked beneath that cold exterior of hers and you were intent on bringing it to the surface. The red haired woman was hated amongst Purples and Greys alike and though you had heard the screams exuding from those who had received a punishment courtesy of her, you remained completely undeterred. The way she executed every action with an unwavering apathy had somehow drawn you in and whether you earned yourself an untimely death or not, you were willing to take your chances. You had nothing to lose.

-they take a beach vacation every year. a whole week of perfection, with rose making the best margaritas they’ve ever had and constance testing out her stand-up around their nightly bonfire. it’s not a lot, but they have each other, and that is enough.
