i feel like the jjk fandom were way too quick in glossing over the fact one of the biggest reasons sukuna was so obsessed with megumi is because megumi possesses the ten shadows.

and in history, canonically, the only one that could ever defeat someone like satoru - who has both six eyes and limitless - is a ten shadows user

the key takeaway from this is; sukuna has surely done his research and figured ah yes this brat (yuuji) as a vessel will get in the way of my battle with gojo satoru and so i will possess fushiguro megumi so i can completely kill gojo satoru

simply put

1. sukuna promised to gojo he will kill him like two days after they met each other. while still possessing yuuji's body

2. sukuna then shows interest in megumi after discovering megumi is, in fact, a ten shadows user; the only one who could defeat a a six eyes-limitless user. keep in mind sukuna already has his mind set in killing gojo. and someone as intelligent and historically-aware as sukuna would have clocked the centuries old generational feud the gojo vs zen'in clan has

3. sukuna killed gojo like 8+ months later. and the first thing sukuna said to gojo after he got unsealed was if gojo remembered sukuna's promise to him

so you're telling me sukuna has gojo satoru in his mind 24/7 and yall expect me to not ship them

Gojo and sukuna are way past soulmate-isms they're just the same guy twice at this point
