I Hate The Way Therianthropy Has Been Infantilized In The Eyes Of Outsiders. Anytime Someone Defends
I hate the way Therianthropy has been infantilized in the eyes of outsiders. Anytime someone defends Therians they say, "there just kids guys!!" and that's ok and all but it really puts a bad image on the community. I feel like this community is seen as a bunch of kids roleplaying as animals they relate to.
Yes!! People shouldn't bully kids who are having fun by doing quads and stuff but I also wish they'd acknowledge the identity part of it. I want people to not just defend kids who are doing fun stuff but also their right to identify anyway they want to.

Fully prepared to accept my alterhumanity as a symptom of mental illness.
Why?
Because it changes absolutely nothing.
Maybe it's a delusion. Maybe it's a reaction to dissociation. Maybe it's a coping mechanism to hell knows what. Maybe it's the onset of psychosis or related disorders (though I highly doubt it).
But all that doesn't matter, but it's still real to me. It's my experience. It's my identity. It doesn't matter what it's caused by, I still feel how I feel. Just because it's a delusion or disorder to the rest of the world doesn't mean it's not my own personal reality.
At the end of the day, I'm still not human, because that's how I experience my own identity.
You're overthinking your theriotype research.
"What do I act like. Whats my personality. Whats my mood? Whats-"
What do you feel like.
You could be a wolf that likes being pet and like toys.
You could be a cat that likes water and forests.
You could even be a dog that prefers forests.
Therianthropy is what YOU feel like you are.
If what you're personality "shows" you are is something that you feel like you arent. Then you arent. Despite what the signs are.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE.
This doesn't mean "oh I WANT to be a bird so ill pick bird." No- do you *feel* more like a bird than human?
Remember. Getting your theriotype wrong is normal. Theriotypes changing is normal. Were all non-human together.
DONT OVERTHINK IT!

I’ve seen a few posts now about a therian/alterhuman/otherkin/etc summer camp. And I have read those posts over and over again imagining that it’s a reality. Being able to be myself around others and enjoy the summer and feel like a kid again while also feeling like the canine I am.
Imaging waking up at camp, you find yourself in a cabin themed to reflect your animal or creature type. Your cabin is decorated with elements that make you feel at home in your therian identity—whether it’s the soft earth-toned bedding of the Wolf cabin, the treetop lofts of the Bird cabin, or the cozy nooks of the Fox cabin.
As the early morning light filters in, you can hear the distinct sounds of your cabin mates stirring. The air is alive with the scents of the forest and the sounds of nature. You stretch and prepare for the day's activities.
Breakfast is a lively affair in the communal dining area, where you get to enjoy critter-specific foods. The Wolf cabin might enjoy hearty meats and proteins, while the Rabbit cabin has an array of fresh fruits and vegetables. The meals are tailored to celebrate the diverse dietary needs and preferences of each group.
After breakfast, the fun begins. You head out to the expansive campgrounds where you can play fetch, swim in the crystal-clear lake, or run around on all fours, embracing the joy and freedom of your therian nature. The campgrounds are designed to provide ample space and opportunities for everyone to engage in activities that resonate with their inner animal.
In the afternoons, there are craft workshops where you can create gear inspired by your therian identity. Whether it’s making leather collars, feathered headpieces, or paw gloves, these sessions allow you to express your creativity and connect with others through shared projects.
As the day winds down, the camp gathers around a large bonfire. The flickering flames and crackling wood create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Laughter, stories, and songs fill the air as campers share their experiences and bond over their shared identities. The night sky, dotted with stars, adds to the magic of the moment.
As you retire to your cabin, the sense of camaraderie and belonging lingers, filling you with a profound sense of peace and fulfillment. This is a place where you can truly be yourself, surrounded by a community that understands and celebrates your therian spirit.

tiktok is actually killing me
i posted a video about wanting some weird ass gear (muzzle + literal dog food) and the whole point of the video was poking fun at me being strange about what i wanted and.
there are so many comments like "um i'm a therian but this is weird :/" or "i'm a therian but like i'm NORMAL" or "i'm a therian but i don't actually think im an animal lmfao"
OHBMY GOD AHUT UP IM GOING TO START HITTING PEOPLE WITH HAMMERS. like. OH MY GOD.
i'm actually gonna TWEAK i genuinely cannot do this anymore any time someone posts about therianthropy and they're not wearing a mask or doing quadrobics or something aesthetically pleasing that doesn't imply they actually identify as an animal kintok throws them into oncoming traffic
Went to a ren faire yesterday. Wore my fae themed ear cuffs n some elf ears. Also brought my deer mask.
I saw a group of children wearing masks and doing quads.
It made me very happy to see them.
Even though I'm not therian myself it's just lovely to see them have the courage to be publicly non-human.
The moment I looked away from them they were right next to me and they were talking about how cool my mask is and how deer are hard to make.
I have received the approval of the therian children. My life is complete.
Gosh I love therians.
I love nonhumanity.

Me at the ren faire btw :3
