10. Could you be best friends with this character?

i want to say yes because i love him as a character, but i think the position of Jal's Best Friend is taken, and also he's like the self-sacrificing kind of nice that would be so so stressful for me as a friend because it's like no, pal, friend, buddy, listen here that's bad for you. and then he'd do it anyway.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

i love the cooking. i mean he would obviously put his life on the line for any one of his people, but idk the smaller, humbler act of care just hits different. not just wanting to keep his people alive, but keep them fed and cared for and sustained, it's just very lovely, especially for someone who's ordinarily so gruff and grumpy.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

saint likes to read poetry in his downtime, especially free-verse and prose poetry, but he'll read anything he can get in a print copy (because he's old school lol). he likes to mark his favorite lines, the ones that resonate, because he isn't very good at putting his own words to what he feels, and sometimes it's comforting to find someone else's that fit.

ok but jal being an absolutely terrible fighter when he first joins the guild because he's all legs and brute strength and he's never really thrown down with anybody but his miner pals or w/e, and saint still fresh from earth and grumpy like "this is not my problem" over and over until he gives up because it turns out his heart brain has decided this stupid blond bastard is 100% His Problem
