『 The video opens with a shot of Haechan walking into the studio and holding the door open for Y/N. As she walks into the studio, Haechan takes her hand and leads her to the set. The set is white, with two white chairs seated across from each other, a white table, a set of white earbuds, and a set of white noise-cancelling headphones. Haechan takes a seat in the chair to the right, while Y/N sits in the chair across from him. 』

“Can you introduce yourselves?”

Y/N: “Hi, my name is Y/N, I’m 21 years old, and I am a fourth year university student majoring in human development.”

Haechan: “I’m Haechan, also 21 years old, and I make music.”

“How long have you been together?”

Y/N: “For almost 6 years now.”

Haechan: “And we’ve been engaged for 1.” (smiles)

“How did the two of you meet?”

Y/N: “We met our first year of high school, right?”

Haechan: (nods) “In the storage room on the 3rd floor.” (smiles) “Y/N was the class president, and I was the crazy delinquent that always caused her trouble.”

Y/N: (smiles, then shakes her head) “Stop telling everyone you were a delinquent. Someone’s gonna make up a weird rumor or something. The most you did was show up late to class.” 

『 Haechan shrugs. 』

notes from vee | here it is! i spent most of this month working on this fic completely out of nowhere, it was unplanned but i’m generally happy with how it turned out (this is also the longest fic i’ve posted on here…please don’t be scared by the length). also i thought that i would add the fact that y/n calls hyuck ‘mr. lee’ (as a joke) sometimes, which is where the title comes from. and just a fair warning that donghyuck and y/n are legitimately the only characters in this entire fic, though others are mentioned often. and here’s a visual representation of bff!hyuck. enjoy and please leave feedback!! <3

“So you’re telling me that you’ve never kissed someone before.”

You sigh deeply at Donghyuck’s voice deadpanning over the phone, thinking it was socially acceptable to throw yourself at him for trying to undermine you. But talking to your best friend merely four hours before school starts isn’t the smoothest move, but you can’t help but voice out the thoughts that were nagging at you the entire day and night. Letting your best friend know about your smooching situations is worse, considering the slander you’re currently facing, and you’re slowly starting to regret even talking to him in the first place.

“Oh shut up,” you mutter back, making yourself comfortable in your bed. Tossing to your side, you hold the microphone end of your phone to your mouth. “And did you even listen? I didn’t say I’ve never kissed anyone before, I just said I haven’t—”

“—kissed anyone,” he finishes with a snarky laugh, one that you’re familiar with from the day he mentioned to the entire classroom that you two finished each other’s sentences. “A kiss without tongue is literally not a kiss, Y/N, I thought everyone knew this.”
