the fact that around this time last year after p.e practical, we were lying on the yoga mats after it ended, my head on his shoulder as we looked up at the sun from sitting under the shade. so many people around us but all we could hear was each other, we talked about how quick time passed and the next year would've been our school ka last year, how we'll miss everything we've claimed to hate including each other and promised each other we would still keep in touch after it all ends. I wrote about that day in my poetry journal and to my surprise, it was the same poem that got published in an anthology, my 2nd poem to ever get published. he has always been my luck. today, an year after, we talk, but rarely. so I look back at him while I pass him in the hallway, hoping for him to look back. but all he does is walk away while i keep hoping- only because I was afraid to say the big scary yes when he asked me to. I made a mistake, sure. but when I did realise it, how blind i had been- why is it that u keep moving away the more i try to be close? are u the one who's blind now?
