8 + Yohan Please!

8 + yohan please!

a/n: my dearest anon, I’m so sorry this took so long! I just had my final exam last week so i’ve been studying for that, also whenever I tried writing this I kept having writer’s block.. regardless I’m glad it’s finished and I really hope you like it!

I’m not entirely sure about yohan’s family background, other than that his dad was like a taekwondo master and he has two younger sisters.. so I kind of threw the details together at random.

8. I think I’m in love with you. + yohan

[6:53 p.m.] you feel your hands getting clammy as you clench and unclench them. yohan senses your nervousness and reaches over, keeping one hand steady on the steering wheel and resting his other hand on your knee, gently rubbing on it. “don’t stress out, they’re not evil or anything. in fact, they’re the opposite.” “ahh, I know, I know, I’m just...nervous. I hope they like me.” you say to yohan, who laughs as a response. you shoot him a bewildered look, “I’m serious, what if they think I’m not good enough for you? or what if they say that they like me, but actually don’t?” yohan parks the car into his familiar driveway before fully facing you, hands on your shoulders. “hey, relax. everything will be fine, trust me. they’ll love you. I told them all about you and they are very excited to meet you. so don’t worry, okay?” giving you a quick peck on your forehead, yohan gets out of the car and goes around to open the door for you. “thank you, how do I look?” you quickly adjust your dress, smoothing it out before moving on to your hair. “you look great. let’s go.” and he grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers. you exhaled and gripped the flowers you bought for yohan’s mother.he knocked on the door and not even a minute later, it opened to reveal an older woman, about your height, but she has the same dazzling smile as yohan. she moves over to let you two in and wraps her arms around yohan’s waist, squeezing him tight.

“my yohan, welcome home! and you must be y/n!” she uncoils her arms from around yohan before delicately encasing your hands in her own. “it’s so great to finally meet you. yohan told me that you were beautiful but his words don’t do much justice.” you blush at her comment and shyly avert your gaze to the ground. you hand the bouquet of flowers to her, saying, “this is for you, ahjumma. and your home is very nice.” she accepts the flowers, giving them a quick smell. “they smell lovely, thank you.” yohan takes off his shoes, and so do you. you follow yohan’s gaze to a chair across the room, on which yohan’s father is reading a newspaper. yohan bows and greets him and upon hearing his son’s voice, he smiles and puts his paper down before approaching the two of you. he hugs yohan, patting his back, before letting go and smiling broadly at his son. “how’s my champ doing?” yohan smiles wide, replying back that he’s doing well and then he turns to you, and you bow respectfully, greeting him. he smiles and you guys talk for some time. a few minutes later, yohan’s mom joins you, resting her hands on your and yohan’s shoulders. “dinner’s ready. shall we eat?” “let’s go, your eomma made sundubu-jjigae and galbijjim.” yohan’s eyes light up and you laugh because you know that those are his favorites.

dinner goes well; you meet yohan’s sisters (of whom yohan has shown you multiple pictures) and they are the sweetest little girls. they take turns asking you different questions, such as where did you go to school and what was it like in your home country. “the food is very delicious, ahjumma.” yohan’s mom gives you a sweet smile before responding, “thank you, I’m glad you liked it.” and then you find yourself helping her with the dishes, and as she dries the clean dishes you set aside, she tells you, “yohan hasn’t been this happy in a long time. sure, he’s a sweet boy and is very patient but I think that ever since you came into his life, he’s glowing.” you flush at her statement and tell her, “that really means a lot, thank you so much. I don’t know what I would’ve done if it weren’t for yohan; he’s been nothing short of an amazing friend and boyfriend to me and I feel like the luckiest person in the world with him by my side.” she grins at your words and wipes down the final dish, before telling you, “you really are a sweetheart, y/n.” she looks over your shoulder to see yohan standing there. “oh? yohan, why don’t you show y/n around the house a little?” then, your hand is intertwined with yohan’s as he begins to walk you down a small hallway. there are pictures all over the walls, from his dad as a taekwondo master, to yohan himself breaking boards. you see one of yohan as a child, smiling in his uniform. your eyes stay on that one as an amused smile forms on your lips. “that’s a cute one.” you point out said picture and yohan’s arms wrap around your face from the back, chin resting on your shoulder to see what you’re pointing at. “that was from my elementary school days, I think I was just laughing at something someone said.” you turn your head and peck his cheek. “still look the same to me, though. an elementary schooler then, an elementary schooler now.” suddenly, yohan’s arms around your waist loosen and he begins to tickle you. you let out a small shriek before doubling over in laughter. the hallway is now full of your and yohan’s laughs and as you two pause to catch your breaths, yohan turns you around to face him. “hey, I think i’m in love with you.” with bashful eyes, you wrapped your arms around him, burying your face in his neck. “I love you too.” yohan heard this and the tips of his ears turned red. and with that, he reciprocated the hug just as tight, glad that the perfect evening ended on a perfect note.
