what does “host” mean in the nerd fic ?

it's a scientific term for an organism (host) that provides to another organism (guest). parasites live in hosts and leech off of them in a parasitic relationship; in commensalism the host provides and the guest is neutral, but in the story it's a metaphor for the significant partner who loves more than they are loved. they become the host for providing affection either without getting anything in return or just being harmed in the process.

you😍😍😍😍 it's more of the anticipation of oc's heartbreak. tae doesn't really care about how jk feels because he knows jk isn't ready for a committed relationship anyway, in love or not. but in the first scene tae realizes jk stopped kissing soyeon and left the party to go to oc, so it's not his feelings that tae doubts but more his capability to be with someone without it ending badly

weeeelllll, i think it's established that jungkook is not good with handling his emotions, is rash and impulsive. he wouldn't love another girl, so he wouldn't emotionally cheat on oc, but if she really upsets him then best know that mf gon rail someone to blow off some steam 😩 the only girl he wants to be with is oc, as long as he's not having a nervous breakdown
