It all started with a simple sketch of these two because I love them together, and voila! resulted in this.

As for Nooshy's name...I left it the same for its male version, I feel like that name is unisex.

Here's a little look at a fanfic starring everyone's favorite new dance-teaching lynx Nooshy and featuring our good old gorilla Johnny!

"I like your dad," Nooshy snickered. "Your uncles too. They seem like a fun lot."

"They are," Johnny agreed, unable to keep from smiling. "And the last couple years it's been a lot like the old days."

"They seem real supportive," Nooshy added, but there was something off about her tone.

"They are," Johnny nodded. "We used to all be real close when I was little...and I mean I know things can't go back to exactly like they were, but it's a start, right?"

Nooshy nodded, but said nothing.

"W-what's the matter?" Johnny asked, looking concerned for his friend.

"Sounds like your dad and uncles really do love you," Nooshy finally answered after a few moments. "And it's good that you get to have your time onstage and then get to turn it all off and be with your family too. Best of both worlds, yeah?"

"Nooshy, what is it?" Johnny asked a bit more gently. "Y'know you can tell me. Best friends tell each other things like this, right?"

Nooshy hesitated and then sighed.

Johnny could feel himself becoming more worried. This was the first time since hed met her that he had seen the cool and confident lynx look so...vulnerable.

"Johnny..." Nooshy's eyes flickered for a moment and she looked down at her paws, which were clenching and releasing as she spoke. "There was a reason why when you and I met I was street-dancin'..."
