moko

As a character, moko is both my fursona (reflection of me) AND her own character in a ‘dark’ magical girl story.

Moko’s magical item is a collection of keys that open other dimensions and portals.

Moko’s signature rainbow tail is actually dyed and can definitely be any color, she just usually chooses to keep it rainbow. When she was young she would color her tail with markers.

sparkles

Sparkles is one of my oldest characters. She is inspired by, and influenced by 90s era PLUR rave styling.

A bit of an oddball, tries to keep everyone around her in a good mood with silly antics and sarcastic shirts. She has been in a few rough encounters involving drugs. Her chipped ear and damaged tail came from a particularly violent night. The worst night was watching a friend die at a party. After that happened she vowed to be the brightest light in everyone’s lives, and generally keeps away from drugs. (She doesn’t try to stop anyone else though) Sparkles just wants to protect everyone so we can dance all night.

Sparkles bestie is Sarah, who she met when Sarah was working at a raver event. Sparkles thinks Sarah’s grumpiness is cute! Sarah thinks Sparkles intense positivity is endearing, because it’s something Sarah can’t do very well.

Cosmo

Cosmo is a space coyote. He is made of stars. He can make stars. He is simultaneously galaxy sized, and human sized. He doesn’t exist in a normally perceivable dimension, but you could see him if you do the right rituals and eat the right plants. He finds great amusement talking with the people who look for him because they have to be high to find him. So sometimes he messes with them by giving them ‘divine visions’ that are completely meaningless. Sometimes he shows them the core of the universe.

Cosmo is always drawn in black and white with glowing gold/yellow accents. There is often a halo of stars, or something similar to Saturn’s rings between his ears. The symbol on his forehead means “orbit” and the small outer circle moves constantly.

sarah

Sarah is my oldest character. I’ve been drawing her since I was about 12-13. She is named after a girl at my school who wore gothic makeup and i definitely had a huge crush on her….

Sarah had a rough childhood and upbringing. She was forced to work many jobs through high school and after just to keep herself afloat without parents. Because she is a bit moody, she is unable to keep consistent work, she keeps getting fired. She would rather be reading and writing poetry anyway.

The swirls below her eyes are makeup and can change. She is part lion. Her favorite colours are deep velvet, jewel tones of green and purple. her hair is naturally black, the blonde part is bleached. She says she doesn’t like the dry feeling of bleached hair on her face.

Her bestie is Sparkles who she met when she was working at a rave.
