One Of The Things About This Movie That I Think Is So Important Is That Even Women Who Are Considered
One of the things about this movie that I think is so important is that even women who are considered beautiful by society are made to feel that are not. For whatever reason.
AND those women, like all other women, are constantly subject to complete objectification. Even though they have some privileges that many women do not.
So I think that, while this was a little funny (because I, a Jewish Latina girl, have never looked like her), I did also think that it was a besides the point kind of comment. Even women who play the main character in every movie are made to feel bad about themselves for every little thing. That was the point of that crisis, imo.
when barbie thinks that she's ugly and sad, the narrator breaks the fourth wall and is like if barbie wasn't played by margo robbie, this scene would be more believable and i am just, jfc

Hey but it’s like. Okay if they don’t. If you’ve ripped out your eyebrows one too many times and they stop growing back you’re still a) a really cool person and b) very fucking pretty.
To be clear I have pulled out my eyebrows multiple times and will likely do so again and i am actually so attractive and cool even when I don’t have eyebrows thanks for coming to my ted talk
Ps this applies to other bfrbs as well. If you have scars from ripping your skin up you’re still hot sorry i dont make the rules
every so often I see posts from millennials about how they’ve permanently fucked up their eyebrows from over plucking, and I thank god that mine grew back perfectly intact after everything I put them through
getting that august feeling (things that have ended endlessly are ending again)
