“In its dying breath, the Traveler created the Ghosts…To seek out those who can wield its Light as a weapon. Guardians, to protect us, and do what the Traveler itself no longer can.” - The Speaker

Ghosts are small, sentient robots who were created by the Traveler to find and revive people who would be able to wield its light as a tool against the Darkness. They serve as Guardian’s companions and aid in scouting, decoding and as mechanics for their Guardians. Their most important function, however, is their purpose of reviving and healing their Guardians even in the midst of battle. Despite their Guardians seemingly endless reuse, once a Ghost has dies that’s it, they cannot be replaced or repaired. 

(Side note: Ghosts are the cutest mother fuckers ever created and if anyone wants to get/ send me some Ghost stuff I will love you forever)

I mean… season of the Lost was pretty heavy on the theme, wonder how he missed it ‘,:)
