every time I start a new Netflix show I'm like "I shouldn't get attached because netflix will probably cancel it" and I think that's very very sad

BUT what if.

WHAT IF the live action actually does well?

What if Netflix decides to renew it?

What if they decide to do more than three seasons?

What if they lengthen Aang's journey of mastering the elements while building on the story of the resistance within the Fire Nation?

What if they decide to do more than three seasons and we get to see more of the Southern Water Tribe Warriors?

WHAT IF WE GET MORE TIME WITH THE SWAMP BENDERS?!

What if they extend the story arc for the preparation to invade the Fire Nation?

WHAT IF WE GET MORE OF THE WHITE LOTUS?!

Nobody would have to accept anything from the live action as canon (except for Oma and Shu because they're badass lesbians now) but would it be great to see some more world building?

Personally, I'd love to see more about the resistance within the Fire Nation and more of the resistance in the Earth Kingdom.

Uncle Rick worked hard on a production that represented everything he originally stood for: his son.

He did not create this world for us, he did not create these characters FOR US. This was his way of helping his son. He made this world, the books, the show, for his son. Not us.

All Uncle Rick ever has been is an amazing father and an amazing writer.

"The casting and show didn't meet my personal preferences" then stop fucking watching. It's not for you. The entire reason this world exists is because a father loved his son so much that he felt he deserved more than just what he loved, but deserved something entirely new created for him.

I'm so sick of people acting as if the riordanverse should meet up to their personal standards. In uncle Rick's eyes, the series is already as perfect as it could possibly get. He is the reason for all the changes, because not only is he trying to make a remake to represent everything it was originally created for, but he's also trying to accommodate for the current media and viewers out there. He is doing everything in his power to make this a good thing, and yet every week there is a new article with the title "Rick Riordan faces criticism on new Percy Jackson Episode". Like did he put all that fucking work in for nothing?! You guys have been begging for an accurate adaption for years, you finally get one, and all you do is scrutinise it? It's just so fucking stupid.

I don't mind changing the tunnels storyline from romantic love (Aang and Katara) to sibling love ( Sokka and Katara). First of all, sibling love is important and usually is overlooked in media especially compared to romantic love. Also, considering the ages of these kids in team avatar ( 12-16) I'd say that familial love is actually more important than romantic one. So far this adaptation has given a lot of focus to the sibling bond of Sokka and Katara and I appreciate that.
