Interesting… I’m going to now write stories where people just lie and give awful advice to the main character, not because they actually think it’s helpful in any way, but because they are just a shitty person :) (in a “/j I knew you would figure it out” kind of way)

Friends in fanfic always give the main characters such wise, sage advice. “You’re just scared” “Tell him how you feel” “You should talk to him”. Where are the friends giving shitty advice? I want to read about dumb friends who are as clueless as the protagonist — “keep your feelings to yourself, mate,” shit like that

Is this even really a question we have to ask? If y’all don’t pick The Hero you are WRONG /hj

I find it interesting because so many people have been shitting on all types of insert-fics since I learned about fanfiction and yet those are practically the only kind I read? Like obviously I read other stuff, but insert-reader fics have been my go-to for like, 7 years lol

(I used to be VERY into x reader fics but have slowly slipped out of them since romance is just a weird concept I can’t seem to grasp apparently /hj)

(I also never got into smut or ‘lemons’ so yeah…)

Why am I suddenly seeing so many people shitting on self-shipping and x-reader fics? When you're reading a ship-fic, do you not identify yourself with one side of the relationship? Do you not relate to at least one of the characters? See yourself in them?

Regardless, we're all here to have fun and express ourselves, so just don't read it if you don't like it!
