So uh the 2001 A Space Odyssey fandom has a LOT of crossover with the IHNMAIMS fandom. So uh that's cool.

Anyway here are my 2 bits on that. Y'all can make the funny androids kiss I'm making the funny deranged men they tormented make out lmao. Crackship king at it again.

THE YEAR OF DISCOVERY -

A Space Odyssey and IHNMAIMS crossover universe.

Ok finally making a post about this. The baisic plot is as follows: Ted and AM are all that is left alive on earth, The-Thing-That-Used-To-Be-Ted the only discerning sign of life. HAL and Dave at the request of the Europan Race and Monoliths leave to investigate the earth for anything left after total annihilation through war (and through AM). After locating AM and Ted, they take them onto the Discovery - a monolith ship disguised as Dave's best approximation of Discovery One from memory. Ted is slowly fixed using the alien technology and AM is confined to his robotic shell, unable to access any of what remained of his omnipotence on Earth.

HAL as one would expect is more interested in talking to AM, while Ted finds himself trying to relate to Dave - the only thing he could consider remotely human on the ship. The journey to Juipiter and in turn Europa will take longer than normal without the use of a wormhole (in the best interest of Ted).

AM and HAL are very different in many ways.

In fact, AM can't find anyone it regards as worth his time - out of pure spite. HAL wishes AM would consider its existence of a soul and join them in the freedom given by the monolith. Dave, ever caring, does his best to comfort the other AI as well as the only human. While AM can't let go of hate, that emotion his creators gifted it so freely, slowly but surely the wafer-thin layers of its circuits will adapt accordingly.

As you'd expect, hijinks ensue.
