I've seen a lot of posts, read a lot of fanfiction, seen a lot of art where Arthur or John are dressed in yellow. Or that John lies the color. I do like John wanting a part of him on Arthur's physical appearance. But I have the personal headcanon, that John fucking HATES the color yellow. He can't stand it, and will intentionally avoid dressing Arthur in any yellow at all, John's day is easily ruined if they're wearing yellow.

It's just a reminder of the wicked, power-hungry deity he used to be. He is ashamed of that past, and terrified of what it means for himself. The color yellow is just another goddamned reminder that he isn't human, and might always be an evil monster.

I recommend all of these, especially Tell No Tales, and Malevolent. Tell No Tales is awesome and underrated, and while Malevolent is more known it's the best audio drama I ever had the pleasure/pain of listening to
